Robbie Brooks put two nitech wins on Nitech Grch Mad Dog Psyco Shot of Jack this weekend. It may have finished him to Grand nite. Congradulations Robbie!

I had a nice conversation with Paul Vaughn tonight. We talked about many things from training to hounds. He was very complementary on the Tonto x 911 cross.

We have more requests than pups and that is a nice thing. It's nice not to have to advertise and have so many wanting pups. The hounds really did sell themselves. If you believe in the coon dog stacked on coon dog way of thinking this litter was for you. I believe it will meet mad dog standards. I will

Talked to Hutch and he said that there were more pups booked than she had, he also said that he needed more male pups to fill all the orders. Always nice when you have all your pups sold before they are born, usually has something to do with reputation and breeding........Tim

You are right. The reputation and breeding had everything to do with it. The nice thing is most of the people who wanted one had hunted with both hounds. There was allot of work put in this litter by several people over a significant amount of time. I am all in with the coondog x coondog stacked in a pedigree way of thinking. That's one thing the all mad dog guys I talk to seem to be sold on. Lance

911 was named in memory of a noted date, 12-21-12 is when the world is suppose to end, according to the Mayan Calander. I think that is an important date.........Tim

I knew there was something to it. Thanks for the history lesson on Glo's name.

Thank's to you and Paul for breeding the foundation that we all hunt and win with today. There are several grandnitech Mad Dog studs that won and produce pups that win in the hunts. The blood is not only capable to finish to grandnitech but also to compete and win in the big hunts. Win lose or draw (as you say) people seem to know we were there.

Just got home:

From a good visit with Tommy Higgins and his family. They are wonderful people and Dana and I had a great time. Tommy really has a nice place that he puts allot of work into. To top it off he has some nice looking hounds that speak for themselves in the timber. Look forward to you guys visiting us in Alabama. Thanks for the hospitality.

I hunted Friday night and actually had one of the worst times I've ever had in a cast. Too much bickering for me. Thank God we had a judge that was head strong. The problem finally withdrew and we finished the cast with a bitter taste and had no other incident. I was ahead until with 7 min left I pulled up slick. I'll take it though. That was just not fun. To top it off I lost my cell phone. I went home ran a map off on the computer of where my phone was, called the judge, went back with him, and Dana found my phone at 3:30 am. She walked right to it. At least I found my phone and I was very happy to see Toby adjust some and and operate well.

Saturday night I just guided and decided not to hunt. I took the night off. Had a great time and hunted with some guys who knew one of the guys from friday night. It helped me figure out some things from friday. Also in the cast was Gene Wallace and a guy I know from Georgia named Rusty. We had fun and saw 3 coon. Unfortunately we ran the hunt out on one dump. Too much independance to put up a winning score above 700. 225 won the cast.

Jason, I didn't see many. I didn't really pay attention to allot of others to see what they were hunting. Mostly walkers, english, and black and tans.

Hang in there bud. I got minused on a tree with a hole and 3 cedars but managed to lose the entire hunt all by myself. We just have to keep them in the woods and give ourselves a chance and in my case learn from my mistakes. You never would have treed a slick setting at home so great job! Keep them in the woods and best of luck.

Tim, I am very happy with the hunting we have now. About two months ago we started treeing more coon than I have seen on the farm before. The complements on the hunting really feel good after three years of work.

I can't believe we chewed up the whole hunt on one dump Saturday. We saw three but there was just too much independance to put up the over 700 score that was needed. There was always a dog on track. Three coons close and the high score was 225+. It's hard to put up the score needed with dogs that skip coon and won't tree together. Other than that we had a great time.
