I have seen some argue that Fireball is not #1 in the past, well. Here's a little blast from the past that I saw at a club I went to a few weeks ago. This is an old bloodllines issue. Notice who is #1 and is still holding that overall record as far as I know. There were 19 NtCh's and 7 GrNtCh's for a total of 26.

in 3 weeks with my truck. No car this time. Really thought I would have room for 2 dogs and a pup. Dozer is one strong hound and Ive never been manhandled by a dog before. lol I want to get him ready for American Redbone days for the bench and hunt. He will be hunted on both bear and coon and will be hunted hard. After seeing and hearing him hunt, he just needs to be hunted and be in shape to be a very good dog. There wont be any training involved with him. That Kitty is a get out and get gone dog and is one anyone would be proud to have. You are lucky to have found a female like her. Kitty is the kind of female everybody wants. The same kind I am still looking for with that bloodline. We did stop and pick up the Jabo pup and there was no way we could have fit Dozer and the female in there. Ill pick up the female when I pick up Dozer and hopefully she turns out with a little work. I forgot I had the videos with me there and never got them out to show you. When you cook the bear, soak it in the low salt soy sauce for 24 to 48 hours first and you will love it. P.S. Jim is looking for a Fireball pup for him and Jake. Take care

I cant remember if you said you would have a different one for your new place. And would you like any mounted animals for your new place? We will have a xtra bear for a rug or whatever this year. Address you got will work fine. Also you may not have to make the drive after all. Looks like I may be coming up your way. Before ya'll came up Kitty was acting a little off. Especially, at the Redbone Sectional, I figured it was becuase I hadn't hunted her much lately. The house buying and fixing has kept me swamped. I even drove up to Ed Brown's last weekend to drop off his pup and had to turn around and drive back home without hunting, with him and Darin. I ended up putting in over 400 ft. of water line to connect the house to the rural water system. I drove from 6 Fri. morning until 8 Sat. morning with a 1 and 3 hr. nap in the car. Looks like I've got another trip worse than that on the way though.

I plan to breed her to GrNtCh. Mill Creek Reddy, in Wisc. This will be quite a trip for me but is a cross I was wanting to make once Kitty made NtCh. If I breed her now then she should have plenty of time to drop the pups and then get back in shape for the World Hunt. She also only needs a few more points to be a show champion. This will be a multiple line-bred cross.

This would have Twister 3 times pretty close with a percentage relation to him of something like 31%. Then also the famous and big hunt winning cross of Rocky and Maggie in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gen. with a percentage relation to that cross of 43.75%.

Had a good amount of interest in this cross from some people that I consider to know what's up. Time will tell but I sure think this is going to work well like the other crosses I have had of late. Looks like she will be in prime breeding condition this weekend. So I plan to take off a few days from work and make a road trip to Wisc.
In case some are wondering how the Twister pups are doing.... I took Cryo Joe out this weekend for the first time. He was trailing and treeing some on his own and he's only 4 months old. Did I mention first time out of the pen and in the woods.

I sure like it when they come by things naturally and the sooner the better to me. Yours seems to be doing well himself. I sure was glad to be able to get a Twister son in your hands again. The way things are going I'm going to have the old dog up close in my stuff for a long time.

I thought Kitty had until this weekend before I had to get her bred but now it appears it needs to happen now. She is a little different during her cycle than mine are. So I will be heading out this evening looks like to hopefully breed during the day tommorrow and then again on Fri. and Sat. if possible. I'll bring Dozer and the female if ya still want them both and get Kitty bred too. This is going to make for a long weekend.

I took off from work and drove up to Wisc. with two days left to breed Kitty. I went by to breed to Reddy but he ended up being sick. We couldn't get him to do his thing, even after I tried to help out. Well then I was trying to get ahold of his full-brother NtCh Dan but wasn't able to make connection there.
So there was really only two other hounds, at this time, I was interested in breeding her to. My D8 Dozer dog and Jayroe's NtCh Rock dog. I had already had a 20 hr. trip and Rock was in S.C., so to Dozer she was bred. He has never dropped a pup on the ground. He didn't have a clue at first what we were even wanting him to do. However, once he figured it out he took right to it. I bred Kitty once in the morning and once in the evening. This was her last day or close to it so hopefully she is pregnant. If she is pregnant then she shouldn't come in until after the UKC World Hunt. However, if she missed then she likely will come in during the World ending her chances this year. So time will tell.
Dozer is 43.75% Fireball. Kitty is around 21.87%. So these resulting pups would have a 32.81%, basically 33%, relation to Fireball. Sorry Dean and others I tried. That's the way things go sometimes though. Maybe it can happen next time she comes in.

I'll be moving in a week or so. Moving to the cabin for a year or 2 and who knows maybe for the remainder of my years here. I'll be hunting and training hounds till I cant no more, and doing some taxidermy when time allows me. Theres still alot of big country up there and I'm going to hunt and fish it all. All the hounds are coming with me and they will be my comanions during the week. I wont have to worry about traffic up there. Ill have the internet up and running in a couple weeks and dont have a address yet. I'll be sending you that paperwork I promised this Wed. We were headed to the woods last nite but got hit with several hours of severe storms. 2 1/2 weeks ago we had the largest snow storm in years and Sunday there were tornado sirens going off for a least a couple hours. I've never seen so much lightning my whole life. Hours of lightning strikes less than a second apart. Thanks for Dozer and Queen, I hope to have them out when the water goes down a little. Everything is flooded and alot of roads were under water. All the streams up north are flooded big time. Take care and will get back to you.

They just need to see the woods. Both of them just pull me to much to handle them. If I have them from a young age, now that I know my limitations, then it's not a problem. 4 month old Joe handles like a show hound already. However, when I'm dealing with grown hounds even if it's a nice one it will have to also handle very well for me to hunt it now. Once Dozer and Queen are taught better they should be fine I just can't physically do it. Best of luck with the both of them. As you know if I thought they were culls then they would have already been gone. Dozer, especially really needs a shot to prove what he can do. He is nice to just have sat around like he has. I mean how many finished hounds will hunt like he does after sitting around for a year and a half and he wasn't near finished when he was laid up. The natural drive is there he just needed a chance I couldn't give him now. Thanks for the time you've already put in Kid Rock and for the time you are about to put into both of these hounds.

how those ear cones work out for you. Dozer and Queen are doing real good. They took a liking to my nephew and have big cement runs for the kennel. Going to try and go hunting Wed. nite. They are getting worked daily on the lead. All will head with me to the cabin shortly. Take care.

These guys really get attached to whomever they belong. That's why when I have pups I don't handle them a ton once they are older at all so they don't get attached to me. Once they attach to you though they are your buddies for life if ya so decide and will try or die to give you their all.

Turned loose a coon that I didn't wait as long on this time since Lilly hasn't been out in several weeks. She ran it in and treed it pretty decent. Joe took a bit as he was distracted by Sister being out there. I knew better than to carry two pups but couldn't stand not taking them both this time. Joe settled down and treed some too. He kept try to push the coon further but it ran up fairly quick.
