WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER, EVER, QUESTION A DRUNK ...

I was shopping at the local supermarket where I selected:
A half-gallon of 2% milk
A carton of eggs
A quart of orange juice
A head of lettuce
A 2 lb. can of coffee
A 1 lb. package of bacon

As I was unloading my items on the conveyor belt to check out, a drunk standing behind me watched as I placed the items in front of the cashier. While the cashier was ringing up the purchases, the drunk calmly stated, 'You must be single.'

I was a bit startled by this proclamation, but I was intrigued by the derelict's intuition, since I indeed had never found Mr. Right. I looked at the six items on the belt and saw nothing particularly unusual about my selections that could have tipped off the drunk to my marital status..

Curiosity getting the better of me, I said, 'Yes you are correct. But how on earth did you know that?'

The drunk replied, 'Cause you're ugly.'

LOL Slough...

... That is too funny!
YAY on getting some rain! WOoooHoooo! Have fun mowing! LOL....

Bond... CUTE dawg and.... possum too

Sad Morning here at BearHillFarm... Bob found his beloved duck, Quackers dead in his stall. Someone had killed him and eatten some of him. Coonfamily or a possum? We'll never know but.... we were surprised he had been safe so long with the baby coon growing up in the barn.... SIGH. He was buried.... special pets don't make good cam bait after all. We were real sad and the chores were NOT the same without having to feed him his worms. He was a good duck....

Other than that, nice day a bit hot. Got Nuthin done today.

Speaking of GARDENS... Bob has some nice tomatoes growing in.... three blue kennel barrels our dogs would not go near... they work well! He's got cukes, beets and basil starting well too...not sure what else?
OK... gotta catch up from yesterday morning till now on here...so I'll see y'all tomorrow!
OH... am making a HUGE dent working on PIX... THAT was what I got done today... someday they WILL make it to photobucket

Habanyero pepper Tea

I was brewing tea and decided to throw two Habanyero (sp?) in. I just split the bottom so the water could get inside. The tea had more flavor but was not hot to taste. After a couple minutes I noticed some sweat breaking out on my forehead but after a couple more minutes I felt cooler than just iced tea would have done. It made a gallon. Try it.

I like that dog. Those curious deer I have around here ate 3/4 of my half acre pea patch. Needless to say , we no longer have an honorable "understanding". I tied out a coondog trainee to tend the patch and the deer tracks go clean up to the the dog water bucket, from the pea patch. I hope they get the bloat and 'most die. Yet the Floridah deer hunters that come up here to get their discount Alaskan Wilderness trip want to hunt deer in our "Virgin" bedded and planted pulpwoods. An hire Deputies to Patrol their 500 acre spot, Not realy , they coerce them by giving a membership in the club to track down dogs raising H in the pen at feeding time two miles away, to a guy that owns 2,000 acres, to harass his as about dogs that can be "heard from the club" and as such those deer will migrate to Allendale County for they will surely not habitat where a dog may bark and be heard, according to the little Deputy. Now, who lives in the Greatest Fantasy World is my question?

ALWAYS happens that way! Homemade chili is ALWAYS better the next day if it lasts!

YUM... the chili..not the tea!

Bond... that dawg is adorable and the pix great! Having this little feist cur pretty much living with us most of the time now I can FEEL the energy in your little Rat! They are TRULY driven when hunting or doing ANYTHING! lol... SO unlike our hounddawg!

REAL nice day here today. Got lots of little things done outside today. Bob spent his first vacation day doing all sorts of fun building projects with Kenny. Tomorrow they are going to go on a ride somewhere! Hope they have super weather. I THINK we may have another warm up too but I forget...and I JUST looked at the weather(darned short term memory problem! LOL)

Have a Great night, HappyHunting Heather

Good EVening!

Hi Everyone!
Busy round here with Bob on vacation.... He and Kenny have gone on a few nice rides. Weathers been hot and humid but not TOO bad. Had a NICE visit with my Mum for her 92nd Bday on Sunday! Bob has to take Dylan for jury duty tomorrow AM... hoping that NO ONE in their right mind would want an 18 yr old kid....going into his senior yr of HS with no license... since it is a distance!
Well, I"m tired as can be... hope you all had a GREAT fourth of July!

HappyHunting Heather

A Sensitive Husband

A man is sitting at home alone when he hears a knock on the front door. He opens it to find two sheriff's deputies there. He asks if there is a problem.

One of the deputies asks if he is married. He says, "Yes, I am."

The deputy then asks if he could see a picture of the man's wife.

The guy says, "Sure," and gets a photo to show them.

The deputy says, "I'm sorry, sir. But it looks like your wife's been hit by a truck."

The guy replies, "I know, but she has a great personality and is an excellent cook."

Morn'n, no more rain yet, just hot and gnats!

Happy Birthday to your Mum, Heather.

Made it to the coast this weekend. Too rough to get far off shore. Did get out to 40 ft and caught a good mess of sea bass. Fished inshore and caught a couple legal speckle trout and a sand trout.

Hope everyone had a good 4th

Gnats! we have no gnats here. A mosquito landed to bite me and he had to unscewer a dozen gnats off his perboscerous before he could get around to it. I had to get new fishing license starting on July 1. Remember me telling how I was holding off on the flounder gigging cause I did not want to buy a gigging permit that would only last a few weeks? Well I found out this is now covered in the saltwater fishing license. I had one of them already. I would have been legal last month already. Who says I am not a lawabiding citizen most of the time when it suites me?

Hi Guys!

And any gals who might be reading!
AS for sweet tea... had a wee bit of that "Sweet Carolina Sweet tea" in some lemonade last night again... it is quite yummy and as long as you dont add too much of it to the lemonade... not much alcohol content. Can also just have the lemonade mixed with real sweet tea I imagine... where you can GET or MAKE real sweet tea that is... Quite refreshing..... YUM! That said... it is HOT here and muggy and we feel like Southerners at the moment with the weather!
Bob's still been busy outside, worked WAY too hard out there yesterday! I tried to get him to relax but he appears to be DRIVEN towards getting EVERYTHING done that he can. His ugly garden is really taking off and his tomatoes (growing in the blue dawg barrels) look AWESOME! The BERRIES this yr are amazing! We have TONS of mulberries, black raspberries and purple raspberries. YUM! I pick as many as I can stand to eat...I dont even CARE this yr about the spiders....LOL... The raccoons are obviously loving it... and I miss my bluedawg Wyatt SO MUCH during the berry season...it is just WAY too quiet here He loved those mulberries in the dog pen so much... one of his fav. snacks.
The bugs... skeeters and gnats and DEERFLIES..oh and the TICKS... are monsters along with the berries this yr! Ouch and ITCH!
LLyle...LOL on the fishing permit thing.... Go Figure! Hope you get in some GOOD fishing! Get some PIX too!!!
Alll of you guys need to get us Yankees some pix of what the shore down there looks like!! I spent so much time on the Rocky North Shore of Boston and the FL Kesy growing up...but not so much on the shores in between. I LOVE pix anywhooooo so... I'm beggin y'alll for pix!
Bob and Kenny took the bikes to some fort in Newport RI the other day.. I haven't looked at the pix yet but if any turned out interesting I'll post some at some point. I know they were fascinated by some graffiti... and I'm sure Bob took pix. With graffiti it may not be "polite" enough to post? We'll see... They enjoyed the ride and the sights. I'm glad Bob has had the chance to ride with Kenny...since my back is NOT in riding shape....
COrky, LOVE that big old head on that dawg! You have a lucky grandson!
1nighthunter...LOL.... another FUNNY one!
OK Folks, stay COOL and have a good one. I'm gonna see what else happened on here since yesterday and I may be back later on to check in... or I'll see ya tomorrow! HappyHunting, Heather
