Larry, you got some good looking females man. Jenny is going to be a special one,she has the hunt to go with the looks man.

Well guys I've been moving into the new place and haven't hunted much worth killin. But here is a very short a sweet version of my last three hunts with Jack.

I took Jack out with Joe Clay and CiCi. Ci Ci is a young Blue dog that is getting her first chance in the woods. Jack rolled in there and got treed and Ci Ci did a MUCH better Job about getting gone and being at the tree.

The week before I finished moving Jon came out with Jim and we hunted on the new place. I sure did have a good time. Jim and Jack got two treed not two minutes into the hunt. After that they treed a couple of more times in some den trees.

I also went to a comp hunt that Jack did a great job in. He ended the night wit plenty of circle points. He also had two coons look after the shine time was up.....that's my luck. He did a great job getting that little bit of extra work done and getting the meat up the tree.

We're going to a youth hunt tonight and I'll post the pics tomorrow at some point.

Yes Kent we had a good hunt that night and like always enjoyed myself, and it really made me feel good to see Jim on them 2 coon, and he really impressed me when he split treed from Jack and held his position on his tree. I couldn't have been more pleased with that night.

Jack, Zavier, and myself all went down to Erin TN for a youth meat hunt on Saturday. We had a 4 dog cast and things went off track from the first cast. lol

We had a 4 dog split and I had to call Jack in off of a track on the first cast. The same went for the 2nd drop as well.

Poor Jack spent most of the night in the dog box as he was the only one who actually listened. lol

Oh well. I'm headed out tomorrow night for some back yard huntin.

Tomorrow night it's on. Me and Jack are hitting the woods solo and going to shoot 'em out. I can't wait to get back to the timber.

Somewhere in my move I've lost my mico SD card reader....so my pictures are still on hold.

So here is the story starting with the weekend after I moved.

I went to the woods right here behind the house and treed no more than 160 yards from the house itself. I thought he was boogered up when he came in and nailed a tree about 20yards from me....but I was wrong. Jack had the meat.

I shot it out and boy was he a mad, and very much alive coon. Jack had to run him down and the fight was on. Jack and I toted that one up the hill and skinned him out. =)

The next night I went to Erin, Tn for a UKC hunt and Jack did a stand up job. He looked like a split tree expert that night and, to my dismay, two of his three split trees looked after shine time was up....oh well...

Shortly after that we went to the benefit for Justin Ray down at Erin and it was a meat hunt. I drove back here to the house and Jack did it as fast as I've ever seen him do it. From the time I cut him loose to the time I got back to the house was just about 15minutes. It was a big 16lbs boar in a hedge apple tree.

And that brings us to the nite hunt at Dyersburg, Tn.

Ok here is how the nite hunt went down at Dyersburg, Tn.

First of all it was a very enjoyable cast with two guys about my age named Tyler (hunting Sabrina's Tracker dog), and "Buster" (hunting a walker named Gus).

We cut loose next to a creek and they all went hunting at a good decent speed. Jack was second strike and took it on. Tracker and Gus treed, but tracker drew minus and Gus pulled out circled.

Second drop Jack had third strike, the other two went left handed hard, and Jack was right handed. Jack located big a couple times and got first tree. The other two backed him and we saw the coon WAY up top.

We moved and had to have a conversation with a Sheriff about some suspected meth activity in the area. We got to the timber and cut them loose. Jack was third strike this time. Gus pulled minus on a tree, and that place me well in the lead.

After that it we made another drop and ended up treed deep in the bottoms. The coon was only available for sight for a brief bit, before it started to climb. This twin tree was massive and supper leafy still. He stayed in sight long enough for all to see.

Jack won 1st place registered with +325, and I couldn't have been prouder. The hat that came with the win was nice too. =)

Jonathan Christmas

I owe a lot to you and your family. Without your and your family's hospitality Jack would have never been given the chance to become the dog he currently is, and the dog he will eventually be.

You and your family have opened your home, land, and resources to me and my family. For that I will forever be grateful and indebted.

You all have allowed me to become nearly a part of the family and I am truly honored to have that opportunity.

Thanks for the great friendship, great times, and great hunts. I know there are many more years of hunting and shooting the breeze in our future.

Kent

No worries. Bubba you are a good man, and a great friend. I wouldn't trade anything for the friendship we have built over the past 13 months, a.d if it wouldn't have been for you and Larry I would not have Jim.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends and family.

Keep those Red dogs in the woods, but save today for your family. They put up with a lot of stuff because of our sickness. lol

God Bless.

Jack did not have his best showing last night.

As a matter of fact, it was the worst he has looked in a hunt. Not sure what crawled up his backside, but I bet we get it removed before next week.

He just flat out didn't even look like Jack....not sure how to explain it other than that.

It was a rough night, no plus points in the entire cast.....it was a shame too. Someone just had to get plus points to take home a 1st place.

Puryear was a good club though, they put us right next to the lake in good timber. Plus the guide and other hunters were nice stand up folks.
