Wow...do you guys really think i would ruin my good standing citizenship by running with those two outlaws Bond and Price! I know Price was jumping up and down when English Bob thought that he was me...LOL, Lyndell would be so luck, why he had to go and marry a Linkous he thinks so much of us...sounds like a good time was had, i will see what is going on next tri-county event, we have a water race, bench show, field trail, and night hunt on April 11th in Christiansburg if any want to show up

By the way Dan i did show up at the last one but you were no where to be found!

Morning gang,
Looks like I should have just went to Tri-County. Think between my son's nerves and the excitement Buster just does not hunt with him at all. Went to four slick trees. One he got and other dogs came on so he locked it down. The other three he ran and backed the other dogs on.
I did find me a nice little prospect to work on. Nice young started dog out of Top Gun and Ruby that Darrell Brown and Randy Selby own. Will get pics up once I get a chance.
Still on nights for a few weeks.

Link,
Sounds like it will be a fun time in the burg on the 11th. I will have to check but I do not think anything going on.

EBob,
Nice looking girl.

Prayers to all in need. Back to work.

Colonoscopy Journal:

I called my friend Andy Sable, a gastroenterologist, to make an appointment for a colonoscopy.

A few days later, in his office, Andy showed me a color diagram of the colon, a lengthy organ that appears to go all over the place, at one point passing briefly through Minneapolis.

Then Andy explained the colonoscopy procedure to me in a thorough, reassuring and patient manner.

I nodded thoughtfully, but I didn't really hear anything he said, because my brain was shrieking, 'HE'S GOING TO STICK A TUBE 17,000 FEET UP YOUR BEHIND!'

I left Andy's office with some written instructions, and a prescription for a product called 'MoviPrep,' which comes in a box large enough to hold a microwave oven. I will discuss MoviPrep in detail later; for now suffice it to say that we must never allow it to fall into the hands of America's enemies.

I spent the next several days productively sitting around being nervous.

Then, on the day before my colonoscopy, I began my preparation. In accordance with my instructions, I didn't eat any solid food that day; all I had was chicken broth, which is basically water, only with less flavor.

Then, in the evening, I took the MoviPrep. You mix two packets of powder together in a one-liter plastic jug, and then you fill it with lukewarm water. (For those unfamiliar with the metric system, a liter is about 32 gallons). Then you have to drink the whole jug. This takes about an hour, because MoviPrep tastes - and here I am being kind - like a mixture of goat spit and urinal cleanser, with just a hint of lemon.

The instructions for MoviPrep, clearly written by somebody with a great sense of humor, state that after you drink it, 'a loose, watery bowel movement may result.'

This is kind of like saying that after you jump off your roof, you may experience contact with the ground.

MoviPrep is a nuclear laxative. I don't want to be too graphic, here, but, have you ever seen a space-shuttle launch? This is pretty much the MoviPrep experience, with you as the shuttle. There are times when you wish the commode had a seat belt. You spend several hours pretty much confined to the bathroom, spurting violently.

You eliminate everything. And then, when you figure you must be totally empty, you have to drink another liter of MoviPrep, at which point, as far as I can tell, your bowels travel into the future and start eliminating food that you have not even eaten yet.

After an action-packed evening, I finally got to sleep.

The next morning my wife drove me to the clinic. I was very nervous. Not only was I worried about the procedure, but I had been experiencing occasional return bouts of MoviPrep spurtage. I was thinking, 'What if I spurt on Andy?' How do you apologize to a friend for something like that? Flowers would not be enough.

At the clinic I had to sign many forms acknowledging that I understood and totally agreed with whatever the heck the forms said. Then they led me to a room full of other colonoscopy people, where I went inside a little curtained space and took off my clothes and put on one of those hospital garments designed by sadist perverts, the kind that, when you put it on, makes you feel even more naked than when you are actually naked.

Then a nurse named Eddie put a little needle in a vein in my left hand. Ordinarily I would have fainted, but Eddie was very good, and I was already lying down. Eddie also told me that some people put vodka in their MoviPrep.

At first I was ticked off that I hadn't thought of this, but then I pondered what would happen if you got yourself too tipsy to make it to the bathroom, so you were staggering around in full Fire Hose Mode. You would have no choice but to burn your house.

When everything was ready, Eddie wheeled me into the procedure room, where Andy was waiting with a nurse and an anesthesiologist. I did not see the 17,000-foot tube, but I knew Andy had it hidden around there somewhere. I was seriously nervous at this point.

Andy had me roll over on my left side, and the anesthesiologist began hooking something up to the needle in my hand.

There was music playing in the room, and I realized that the song was 'Dancing Queen' by ABBA. I remarked to Andy that, of all the songs that could be playing during this particular procedure, 'Dancing Queen' had to be the least appropriate.

'You want me to turn it up?' said Andy, from somewhere behind me.

'Ha ha,' I said. And then it was time, the moment I had been dreading for more than a decade. If you are squeamish, prepare yourself, because I am going to tell you, in explicit detail, exactly what it was like.

I have no idea. Really, I slept through it. One moment, ABBA was yelling 'Dancing Queen, feel the beat of the tambourine,' and the next moment, I was back in the other room, waking up in a very mellow mood.

Andy was looking down at me and asking me how I felt. I felt excellent. I felt even more excellent when Andy told me that it was all over, and that my colon had passed with flying colors. I have never been prouder of an internal organ.

On the subject of Colonoscopies...

Colonoscopies are no joke, but these comments during the exam were quite humorous..... A physician claimed that the following are actual comments made by his patients (predominately male) while he was performing their colonoscopies:

1. 'Take it easy, Doc. You're boldly going where no man has gone before!'
2. 'Find Amelia Earhart yet?'
3. 'Can you hear me NOW?'
4. 'Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?'
5. 'You know, in Arkansas, we're now legally married.'
6. 'Any sign of the trapped miners, Chief?'
7. 'You put your left hand in; you take your left hand out...'
8. 'Hey! Now I know how a Muppet feels!'
9. 'If your hand doesn't fit, you must quit!'
10. 'Hey Doc, let me know if you find my dignity.'
11. 'You used to be an executive at Enron, didn't you?'
12. 'God, now I know why I am not gay.'

And the best one of all:

13. ‘Could you write a note for my wife saying that my head is not up there?’

Wow, what a day, This retirement thing is really hard. Up this morning fairly early, the wife and I took off to the trail and took a long bike ride, back at the truck I started getting tired so when I got home I went down stairs and turned on the TV, There's a chance that I may have taken a nap, HA!HA! so around 4 I took a shower and then I took off to Pulaski County High to watch a girls soft ball game, while I was there I watched about 5 innings then I made a move to the Tennis court and watched some tennis. I then moved on to the baseball field and watched a few innings of the JV game. On the way home I stopped at the bowling alley and watched Connie bowl. So for the ones of you (like Wendell) that says retirement is easy you have no idea how wrong you are. Hope tomorrow is not as hard. Have a great one and enjoy every minute of life!!!!

Randy I never went anywhere, I am all caught up, checked this site everyday to see who was talking about me I was shocked. With friends like this I don't need any enemies. Ha!Ha! How are you doing these days, it's has been along time since I seen you. Oh by the way about hunting in W.Va we never went to jail, we were hunting with Ray and got caught, Ray went our bail. Notice I said We yes the great law abiding, famous Redbone man the one and only Mr. Bond!!! You would have thought we had killed someone the way the game warden acted, he stuck his gun right up to my back, and all we were doing was enjoying a warm Friday night listening to the dogs.

Linkous I was with Mr. Breeding and Lance last night, I didn't get home until around 4 this morning. To old for these things.

Linkous want to take the young dogs one night the first of the week, let me know and which night.

The talking dog . . .
Broder walks into a bar with a dog on a leash.

"Bartender," he says, "I'll have a scotch on the rocks, and a whiskey sour for my dog."

"I'm sorry, sir, but we don't allow dogs in here."

"Just a minute," the dog says. "I'm not used to being treated this way.
Maybe you've never seen a talking dog."

"Don't give me no talking dog, mister," the bartender tells Broder.
"You're not the first ventriloquist we've had in here."

"Wait, you've got it all wrong," says Broder. "I'll go across the
street to get a newspaper, and I'll leave the dog here. Then you'll
see."

When Broder is gone, the dog says, "Hey, pal, what happened to my
whiskey sour?"

The bartender is astonished. "Sure, right away. It's on the house. I
can't believe this. Say, would you do me a favor? Here's ten bucks. My
wife works in the restaurant next door. Would you mind going in and
ordering a coffee to go? This will make her day, and you can keep the
change."

"Fine," says the dog, who takes the money and leaves.

A moment later, Broder returns to the bar. "Hey, where's Oliver?"

"He *can* talk," says the bartender. "I gave him ten bucks to surprise
my wife. Here, I'll go with you."

As they leave the bar, they see Oliver in an alley, having his way with
an attractive French poodle.

"Oliver, I can't believe it," says Broder. "You've never done this
before."

"Hey," says the dog, "I've never had money before."

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Hi Everyone! Prayers to all and May you be Blessed over this Holy Weekend!

Nice pix, Price....glad you are getting into the swing of the retirement thing!

Not too sure about the Bruins... I know we are not OUT of it at this point...but just hanging on I think. Last couple games have been good watching. I have barely paid attn. myself!
Hoping this weekend with Mum is another good one! It will be a nice quiet weekend with most people off for Easter things. Mum and our Fam are Greek Orthodox(not practicing but most believers)... so our Easter is a bit later this yr. Bob is going to a medievel Feast tomorrow and then will be with aunts fam on Easter...Nice people, great comapny and GOOD food, I'll miss it but...I'll be with my Mum!
My sister Kate is at her boyfriends bedside in ICU...he is on respirator, struggling to kick his latest pneumonia. He is an alcoholic with all sorts of illnesses and since Vietnam he has horrible Agent Orange issues... she has known him since he was quite young..and is very supportive of him. SHE needs prayers for Strength and he needs many Prayers of course...Sad. Hope if he pulls thru this one he will remain sober if he can...cause that doesn't help....
Well, I guess I;ll check out wassup on all the forums and try to rest up for Mums! I'll see you all nw and hope you have EXCEPTIONAL Easter gatherings!
HappyHunting too, Heather

Well Breeding and Price took off to the state Dale handling Cougar Lyndell,s dog just called to see what was happening its 10:12 and they even turned loose yet why it will be way past their bed time before them to old worn out coon hunters turn loose I wonder if the rest of the cast will wait on them to take a power nap between drops ?
