Hi THere!
I'm back and am sending and have been sending Prayers to ALL!
WIl try to catch up on all.. Hi to All! Hugs from Mother Hen, Shannon! NICE MERC!!!! LOVE the color!!! Nice mountains, turkeys, dawgs... I think I got all the pix??? Snow.. we still have a few feet but there ARE BARE SPOTS! OH... Nice daffodils! Yes on a thaw and today...rain. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Randy, CONGRATS on 35 yrs... John or Rob... I forget which of you.
SO... spent the anniversary of mum going to the hosp last yr at her home with her... as she was not good. The ambulance people decided to try to talk her out of going to the ER...and she stayed home. THat was tues I think. Wed was up and down, she had no more temp. (it was "only 100.2"...which IS probably an emerg if you're 95)... I took her to Dr on Wed and she had tests, xrays etc. Some bacteria in urine and since LAST yr is was septic shock from a bladder infection she went right on antibiotics. As the eve went on we got Xray results, neg. for pneumonia yay. A while later her O2 Sats (oxygen levels) went down. I called oncall Dr. We kept eye on her at his advice. between 3 and 5 am she got very breathless, O2 which should be above 90... at least was 76. Called my sister the nurse, spoke to her hubby, the Dr. He said dial 911. I hung up, Mum said NO! Call the Dr. OMG.. since she is competent I did. He called right back and said dial 911. I got another ambulance ride. WoooHooo....not. We were in the ER all day. THey started to treat for pnuemonia right away cause her lungs were remarkably crackley and wheezey and Xrayed. Xrays showed Congestive heart failure and they treated for that. She had felt better almost as soon as she was on O2 and once they gace her Lasix to get the fliud from lungs she went out like a light snoring away. It was WONDERFUL! She was admitted on Thurs PM and expected home as soon as today or tomorrow. Luckily my nursie sister Martha is there at the house to stay with her. Phewwww! AGAIN! The woman is remarkable!
I sent Bob off to a "society for constructive anacronism" event today. Where the folks dress in medeivel garb etc.. and recreate the olde days. There is a huge event in PA I think where they make a huge area of villages over many acres. My cousin and her husband do this stuff and Bob was gon na go with, today but they are sick...so he was gonna stay home in case I needed him with all that is up with Mum. I told him I got LOTS of rest yesterday and am FINE! I hope he's having fun. It is al workshops today for Newbies. He wants to get involved in the horse stuff(since we are both horsemen in our young lives) and.... they do JOUSTING etc! You HAVE to dress up to go! lol... I HATE acting and playing parts but have told them some day when Mum is gone I'll go...once to see how it is...I can dress as a handmaiden and just say "Yes, MiLady"... and nothing else... Or pretend I'm mute or ???? lol...
OK....gonna see what else I missed and sit like a lump again today! I forget Thurs night... but I must have slept some and last night LIKE A LOG after a LONG nap yesterday aftn...so I'm exhausted PHYSICALLY but my brain is well refreshed! SO...I might be back later on today. Of course Mum IS 95 and things may go either way at anytime... so I would love to have you guys and gals send some Prayers her way!
Thanks! HappyHunting, Heather
