Trac is looking huge since that last pic! What do you think he weighs? Gettin darker, too. He's a nice looking pup - what's he act like? Is he laid back, or energetic?

They are all getting huge. You really cant tell it in my pic but Mace weighed 38 lbs at the vet last Fri. He gets up on top of his house and stretches out and can reach the top of his 6 ft kennel. He has gotten quiet a bit darker as well. Cell phone pics dont show true size real well. I need to get a digital cam. Voice is coming in real good too. Loud is all I can say.

i don't know for sure how much he weighs, but the pick doesn't do him justice comparing him to me. but he is growing good. he is pretty calm in the kennel but is a live wire outside the kennel.

GRNITECH'PR'MILLER'S BIG RIVER JESSIE is a daughter of Misty (Shy's great granddam). Jessie, I believe is on the current reproducer's list, and is a full sister to Turman Creek Smokey (Shy's granddam).

I'll have to do some more research and let you know.

Regardless, I can tell you these pups out of Shy and Spot have got some hunt in them already. Heckler thinks he is a cat killer. I've had word about one little female named Dottie on the NC coastline who's already baying hogs. I don't doubt they will turn out to be nice coonhounds if we work em right...

lol...I brought home 2 male kittens last summer. One night I came home and my redtick, Wyatt, had broken his chain and was treed on the tree beside his dog house. I was tickled to see him treed, bc I have had the hardest time with that dog... Anyway, one kitten was up the tree...one was dead on my doormat at the front door. Needless to say, the one that got away knows better than to stick around if a dog is headed his way!

When Heckler was smaller, I'd take him over to my folks house and he used to play with my sister's kitten a lot - they'd give each other hell. MY cat takes off every time Heckler is on the loose at my house - he's been chased several times already - Heckler was just a-choppin away, having the time of his life He's gotten his ears and snout bloodied a time or two from a cat, but it just made him more excited lol

It's pretty neat to see that instinct coming out in them as they grow. Heckler barking while he's on the chase - he doesn't know why he's doing it, he just does lol Can't wait til it happens on a ringtail...

Well it was funny but not so funny at the same time. It kinda of scared me when I realized what had happened. He could have very easily been blind in that eye. He had chased her to her bed on the front porch several times and she had boxed him pretty good a time or two and he just shook it off. Well the last time I heard him yelp and he came running off the porch. I thought, yeah she got him good that time, and just went on about my business. I reached down to pet him later that afternoon and I could see something in his eye. I thought it was just a leaf stuck to his eyeball but it wouldnt come off. I had to wrestle him around and kinda roll it out of the corner of his eye. When I got it out I figured out what it was. It was a claw from the cat. I really dont know why it didnt stick in his eyeball but it didnt it just kinda grazed it and curled up under his eyelid. We were also fishing at a pond near my house and he got a fish hook buried up in his leg. I had to push it through, cut it, and pull it back out. He is kinda haphazard. He still chases the cat but I wont let him tangle with her.
