It looks like 30% of coonhunters think that a guy should pay $300 - $500 for a weaned pup, spend another $2,000 raising and starting the pup and then sell it for $500. What is wrong with this picture?

You have to remember the age of those voting on here. I bet the avg age of the user's is close to 55 or older. So with that being said the guys in this age bracket think that a weaning pup should be in the $100-200 range. They grip over $300 for a 8 week old pup. They don't want to pay anymore than that for 1 that's doing it on its own regardless of age.

Alot of bs being written here, I cant hardly give a good dog away, Local folks so jealous some wouldnt take a good dog if I offered it to them.80 percent of calls I get dont amount to anything ...I Sold a NICE STARTED GYP SAT and the gentleman didnt try to hassel me any about the price.....MOST FOLKS WANT A DOG TO TREE A COON ALONE AND DONT WANT TO PAY OVER 400.00 TO 800.00....Little gyp I just sold was better than half the competetion dogs I have drew the last couple hunts....In my opinion.... IF I DID A BUY BACK ON A NICE 18 month old PUP FROM MY STOCK THAT I PERSONALLY HUNTED AND WOULD HUNT ALONE AND STAY TREED WITH ABOVE AVERAGE MOUTH and 50 PERCENT OR BETTER I COULD SEE 1500.00 or higher...jmo.
