I don't want to be to critical of UKC since I've always been a supporter of them. Even to the extent of throwing away the registration papers of another registry and going with UKC on my beagles but now when I say I have UKC registered dogs and someone asks if they are purebred or mutts it seems some of the prestige is lost. Seems single registration was good and then 3 generations later you had a "pr" bred dog.Promotion of coon dogs that showed you coon was a good selling point to me. Hope the mighty dollar doesn't cause our registry to backslide.

Mr Tar, our country is also full of old people that appreciate your hard work and perserverence. Surely UKC appreciates it also. It seems to me that the changes that they have made are an attempt to make your job easier and to put more money back in your pocket.
But according to some, no matter what they do it is either wrong or even when it is in the right direction, it is not enough. They gave us the Hunt Director format but that isn't enough. Now you want the HD to be able to handle his dog. They have attempted to streamline the hunt reporting but all we hear are complaints and no one has even used the new reports yet. They are trying to implement a completely new format that hunters themselves have suggested to increase entries. All we hear are complaints about the new format and it hasn't even started yet. I am sure that when they announce the big money hunts that it won't be enough money. I saw where some are already complaining about how the money will be paid out in the Purina National Hunt.

Richard just going to debate with you.

1. How many hunt reports have you filled out ?
2. Do we the clubs not pay for the paper they send us ?
3. Is it our fault they don't check previous hunt reports so they don't send to much.
4. Are they going to by us the computers to send it in on.
5. After I moh and the club screws up and puts the results in wrong are they going to call me and ask what da hey !

Might have been a little more appropriate if they said this change after they give us a look at the big shindig they promised. Kinda like wanting a drink of milk and having to chase the cow a mile to get it.

Ok...
1. Three or four UKC.. A couple of hundred PKC so yes I know that it is a real pain.
2. Yes, so they are trying to save you money just like you asked for. Just another example of getting what you asked for and then complaining that you got what you asked for.
3. I don't understand that one.
4. Can't you use your phone? If not, you can still mail it in.
5. Same for this one. Are you blaming UKC because club screws up.

Are you complaining because you have to work to get a glass of milk? Are you saying that you should be able to lie down and the cow squirt the milk in your mouth? When I was a kid I had to go out and round up the cows and then milk them. Now I just go to the refrigerator and unscrew the top. But if the jug is empty, I complain and fuss until my wife drives 15 miles to the closest Wai Mart and gets a new one.

That Jen is a sharpie... I bet that Chey runs everything by her first. I wonder if she complains when Chey wants her to go to the store to get a new gallon of milk because he empties the old one.

#1 Chey doesn't drink milk.
$2 Chey doesn't grocery shop or cook.
#3 I can't ever remember him asking for permissions for anything, it's easier to ask forgiveness lol.

But does he complain about your cooking? What if he asked you to cook something and then complained about how you cooked it. I know that doesn't go over too well at my house. I wonder how Mr G feels about that?

When pleasure hunting, you can set your own rules and you can always pick your own cast and be the judge and you always win. But it can get lonely. Some people like the competition, some don't. Some people like to be a part of a group.

And here I started it because I like the idea of emailing in reports if I wish and saving that priority mail fee we use. I also like the simplified report forms which I'm not sure if anyone on here even looked at the link on my first post. Allen's sample forms are pretty amusing too.
Richard never complain about dinner that's a sure way to end up on the bad side of a woman!
Ricochet17, if your ever down this way and come to one of our hunts I can't promise you'll win but you will be welcome at the club house good guys, good visiting and no one leaves hungry supper and breakfast is always on the house. There are alot more good guys in this sport than bad.

Hunt with the same guy that took me coon hunting for the first time in 1985. He has 3 dogs (different breeds) it doesn't get lonely.

Comp hunters hunt with different guys and dogs every night. Don't you get tired or bored hunting with those same 3 dogs and listening to those same stories for 33 years.

Oh my goodness, do they bore you? Do you think that "those same 3 guys" should stop posting anything.
