i have changed my thinking over the years a few times. in the 80's i wanted a dog to go till it got treed no matter what .i had no tracker back then and after a few years of that i really got tired of dog hunting. it took the enjoyment out of it. fast forward till my thinking these days. i don't like a lazy dog. i enjoy a busy dog with lots of desire. i have even enjoyed some closer hunting style dogs if they do good work.i'm not lazy either.lol! i have the alpha so to deep doesn't happen unless i let it happen. i enjoy owning more than 1 style of hunting dog at a time that way i can choose how and were i want to hunt. who don't like to have the best of both worlds.
