I just am doing my best but if there is a $$$ hunt close they would rather go to them I am trying to get enough money built up to have a buddy hunt for a pair of lights they would come for that I figure I am just one good hunt away from rounding the corner of having a good club just trying to hang on until then.

Have you tried doing a raffle, 30 day give away? anything to generate some money for a bank account. At our club in WV we would have the daily number lottery and give a gun a day away. Bank about 10k and that took care of all the hunts, summer family picnic and Christmas party. We had about 15 members that sold 1000 tickets and that was it.

Oh my goodness lots of pressure, I never even thought about that. Being a politician is tuff. I know where I would be looking for money/support.

make it tuff as you want to title a dog. world champion tuff. if it's not an honest win with an honest hound who cares. that is what the average hunter has figured out titles don't make them a coon dog.
the things you have suggested would just decrease turn outs at the hunts and not improve quality either. sorry if it hurts your feelings but that is how i see it.

I can assure you, a lot of years affiliated with the military has toughened me way beyond getting my feelings hurt. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, no matter how wrong it is. I do appreciate your concern though,

Jim, I love your suggestion about just eliminating the clubs that consistently have low turnouts even better than what I originally said about the 5 years. Think we could sell that to the powers that be at UKC ?

No. I dont think there is a chance in the world of selling that to UKC.

As attendance continues to fall in ukc the titles continue to lose their prestige. We've lost several clubs in my area in the last decade and will continue to do so. No one thing is to blame, but the new owners of UKC don't seem to care much either way. There's been multiple post with tons of ideas to slow the downward trend and nothing has changed. There's a 100% chance if multiple changes aren't made the decline will continue..
