This years world hunt was no different than others held in other places in other years. All but one dog went home beaten in one way or another. Sure, just like other places, there were a few hitches to overcome, but the overall hunt and the folks who helped put it on was great. Complainers are going to complain, and the Lord knows there are a bunch of them on this board, but that's is their right to do so. Maybe if all the complainers were tasked with finding a place, the people to host and put it on, the kitchen crews, all the judges, all the guides, and throw in that none of the guides and judges could cancel out for reasons of work or family problems etc.., we could have one decent world hunt for a change, at least in their eyes. From what I have seen from them on the board, UKC is going to have to begin giving out the participation trophy's like little league ball does to satisfy them. Most that are complaining so loudly have never even been to a world hunt, and surely was not at this one. Yes, admittedly there were a few bumps in the road, but they were no bigger bumps than the ones encountered else where. The real deal is this, when you have a hunt of this magnitude, and everything doesn't go as a complainer planned, they fall back on what they know best, and that's to just complain about everything! Grow up and admit you got beat. There will be another hunt in 12 months and it will be somewhere else, so get warmed up to complain some more next year. It's what you do best, and hopefully by then all the little league trophy's will be bought, and topped off with a pacifier for you to have. FACT is this, the dog has no idea where or what it is hunting for. It just goes out and does what it can, good or bad. The one that does it best goes home a winner. There is an old saying down south, There is a lot to be said about how a man/woman looses and takes it. Lessons could be learned from Mr. Cummings. A true gentlemen that earned my respect this past weekend. I never heard him complain at all, and only said he and his dog should not have put themselves in a position to loose their cast. Everyone should think about what they say before they say it like he does. I don't at times, but I should.
