For me, there are deal breaker faults, and other traits that are up to the individual. How loud is loud, or how wide is wide, or how hard is hard............up to the individual. But when you take someone at their word, and believing them gets you in trouble.......that's a bad sign!!!
Everyone is different, and if I buy a dog and get in trouble b/c I took someone's word, I asked for it. I chalk it up to experience. It's worth something just to find a person out.
Me personally; I don't sell that many dogs, but when/if I do, I want the new owner to be happy. There is a good reason for that: When I buy a dog, I want to be pleased, and I just put myself in their shoes. If I sell a dog, and the new owner doesn't see what I see, or the dog does not perform for them as it did me........ I want it back. Money is just not that big of a deal to me. I don't have much of it, and I guess that's why.
A person that will not stand behind what he/she says, is not the kind of person I want to deal with. Some people have a conscience, and some don't, and that's the way it is. Some people don't know what a decent dog is, or else they are just plain liars. Either way, it's best to hunt the dog, or at least work out an agreement before money changes hands.
I hope all of your deals turns out to be good ones, and that misunderstandings and hard feelings can be avoided.
