I saw Dizzie do some impressive work at the winter classic. She got caugh up in a bad deal and run off a tree with a Coon in it but was a hand full to the very end. Looked like a hound was suppose to that night.

Good to hear

Good to hear about all these fine females folks if you have a female with big motor please tell us about her .

On a side note you can take big motor a couple different directions. Deep and lonely people keep throwing that up . That isn't my kinda of a hound it doesn't bother me for my hound to be alone however when I say big motor I want my dog to hunt at a fast rate of speed searching for a track are a tree with a coon in it

Deep and lonely is easily confused with hard going and quick...deep and lonely no matter what will not eat long hear! But a HARD going FAST and QUICK hound is the ONLY thing that will eat my feed....but I have found that also means alone a good portion of the time...independence to me ain't being alone... it's doin what you do no matter what's going on around you....

I've found these kind EXTREMLY hard to find in this breed!

Female

I have heard nice things about the Max Destruction dog and i have heard that is a hard hunting dog.

I have personally hunted with and watched the Appels Blue Oak Honey Bee dog on numerous occasions. That Bee dog just flat out doesn't stop hunting and she does it quickly and alone. I am pretty bias because the Bee dog is by far one of the most fun dogs I've ever been behind. I think they are breeding Bee on occasion so there are pups available sometimes.

Big motor

Dannie Henson has a nice female out of Leon DARKSIDE and one of Scott Guthrie females I don't know how any of her litter mates are doing but Dannie female is what every comp hunter likes she will flat get under a coon in a hurry weather it be 30 yards from you are a mile and don't need a track just falls treed with a coon all moast every night you hunt her verry consistent drop after drop night after night

I keep hearing of these elimination style hunts....

So my question is if there was a true 100% elimination style hunt let's say 5-8 rounds elimination if you loose...and a male bluetick won it and he was out of top reproducers who would ring there big motored dog to breedto him?

if I had one worthy of backing up to him I would that Ace dog finds his way to many of the final 4 . My boy got one on the way out of him

Well UKC is the only registry I no of that has one.... the world hunt....no buying into another chance or anything....these PKC hunts ain't elimination hunts....win your cast and have a option to hunt it off...how is that elimination style?

How many of these super elimination style dogs have placed in ukc world hunt? Or any world hunt for that matter?

Females with big motor

Im not gonna get in no pissing match with nobody I have my opinion just like others and I know what I like in a hound and I started this thread to try to get some recognition for those with top female's because I am lead to believe that females play the bigger part in how a litter of puppies turn out

That is why I got a pup off of Dizzie, but it's not a female...I don't know how much a part the female plays, but I want a pup off of a good one for sure. I gotta figure the female is at least half the equation.
I do have a little female out of Joe Vogatsky's Junior dog that gets out wide real fast. She is Jet and Pounder bred. She almost has a little too much motor for this area...we just don't have a lot of big woods anymore. She is loud and will stick to a bad track until she shows me the coon. She is a hard tree dog and one of those dogs that you leash at the tree. I should be pushing her in the hunts, but I'm working on a little walker right now and not in a big hurry. Pretty little thing, but she's got this thing for possum's right now that needs work.

I read several times about dogs winning "elimination style" hunts.....I'm just trying to figure out if I no of any that can.....what I'm gathering is what your asking for is females that can win PKC hunts.....but those ain't elimination style...you can buy your way back into most advancing rounds.....

I'm not about UKC or PKC or any registry at all just stating the facts!

I have a female hear that I gaurentee has or can blow the doors off a good portion of dogs in hunts was AKC over all breed leader and state leader has PKC $ won and a dual grand in UKC with many grand night wins...also been in the top of the reproducers list for several years.....but I can't remember ever hunting her in any "elimination style" hunts before so just trying to determine if that's the kinda females your talking about or if there's some other kind!

A pup born hear and raised up hear was also bred and has pups out of Ace that I hear are really turning it on!

Jesse,

The UKC World, the $HKC World (just held in Aurora Ky), & the $KC World held in Illinois in the Fall are all Elimination format.

In the UKC World, you can buy back in (enter multiple RQE's) to get qualified. This ends up being 4-5 rounds, depending on your score in the semi-final round.

In the $HKC World, you can buy back in (enter multiple nights) to get qualified for the quarter finals. This ends up being 4 rounds. The Elite Truck Shootouts, the World Series, & several others are also elimination format, some may only be 3 rounds.

In $KC you can buy back in (enter multiple nights) to get qualified for the quarter finals. Not as familiar with this KC, but this is a least 4 rounds as well. There are other hunts, Nationals, SS, etc. that are elimination as well, at least 3 rounds or better.

You are correct in talking about the 1 night $KC events, many times a cast win earns you the right to split. Not a true elimination unless the Final Four hunt it off, & then it is only two rounds.

I'm sure all areas are different, but I know in the area I am in, you will draw a high caliber level of dogs at the $HKC, & $KC hunts. Same goes (even more so) for the caliber level of dogs you will draw at the aforementioned World Elimination Hunts.

Not looking to stir any pot or add urine to any contests. All I can say is seeing is believing. What little I have been fortunate enough to see has made me a believer, no more, no less.

How do you buy back into UKC WORLD? from what I e seen after you get qualified that's it....you MIGHT get to advance past zones....there's NO buying back in and no possible way of entering more than 1 zone!

Jesse what Vic was trying to say was enter multiple RQEs. That is buying back in. No different in my opinion. Once you get past the 4 qualifying rounds in the $KCs(monday through thursday), you can't buy back in. If you get beat, you are done.

How people always think big motor is a go younder type. That isn't what I think of as big motor I like a hound to cover ground fast and make fast work of treeing a coon leaving nothing behind for the slowe dog to tree drop after drop night after night I am man anuff to follow what I turn loose I hunt some rugged country what I follow has big motor got to have it Coons are then you won't tree many are any with one that doesn't have any Getty up
