this sport has change so much sense the old days ther is no comparison to old days and todays way of hunting old days you kill to support extra money to survie alot of folk's nowdays just kill let the dogs chew on a coon and throw it over the hill because not worth skinin but as others say it is leagel so i guess each to thier own

Since we're located close to 8,000+ acres of game land, and border thousands of acres of a timber com and fields of a huge farmer....most of them can be seen in my garden! The farmer if they were a BIG concern could shoot them all yr round for crop damage or have his property signed up in a green tag or dmap area....he doesn't. He told us he use to bring relatives from the city back to these fields to show them the deer. He said most nights they counted over 100. Now some nights there are at the most 15. He tells everyone to shot the crows, they do the worst crop damage.
The lumber co is in the dmap program, but they've cut back on the tags you can get.
We had 7 does in the food plot last night. Hope the all have lots of fawns so we can watch them in the garden next yr.

I'm too lazy to Cary them out so I leave them unless we have a pup that's interested not just there but is interested then we have a couple people we take them to that eats them.I never shoot one out of a tree. that has 2or more close together in fear of killing one and injuring the other

It doesn't matter how many you shoot out of a tree. If you shoot more than one while hunting with me, it's our last hunt together.

I've seen some smart dogs but, I've never seen one that could count and know the difference between one, two, or three in a tree.

I don't kill anything any more except poisonous snakes. My sorry dogs have to be happy with looking at eyes.

I don't think they can count by they know when another squirrel in the tree. Several times I have shot out a squirrel and the dog continued to tree until I shot out 2 more.

If you have to kill a bunch of coon to keep you dog treeing or looking good. You are killing the wrong animal.

Used to hear my dad say the same thing back in the 70's. Seems like coon hunting should be gone by now. Lol.

I could care less if i ever shoot another coon. I have no understanding of plinking a sitting duck animal from 30-50 feet away. They stink, are disgusting to skin and worth nothing.
