It wasn't quit full but big and bright last night , nearly 3 hours on the ground a few off barks a couple fence barks some frustrated barks and 5 miles of travel and picked up on a road once he finally got treed up a bush without a track bark , I guess you can say he ambushed it , 1 tree job , 5 miles, 3 hours , makes a guy question , is it a good hunt or bad ? making trees without coon would have got him in trouble

No excuse here

I've dealt with the full moon theory my whole life. Yes I've had some bad nights on a full moon but just as many bad nights on any other night. I've never let the moon be a factor in when I do or don't hunt. We went out this past Saturday with a couple young dogs, had 5 trees, one den, one maybe, and 3 singles and saw 4 other coon setting up. The moon was bright enough that you didn't need a light when you were out in the open. Went out last night, had one single and one slick and saw 2 more setting up. It was bright last night as well. An old coon hunter once told me that on a full moon all a coon does is come down from its den, take a crap and right back up. I don't believe that either. Each night is different, some bad some good. I will say one thing about game moving, around my house, when the deer are out in force before dark, grab your hound and head to the woods cause the coon move good, at least that has been my finding in the past. That being said, make sure your hound is broke. As far as treeing ground hogs after dark, I've done that on a couple occasions but I'd say it's fairly rare. Happy hunting......Ron

I think it would be safe to say you have one of the most honest hounds in this country.Id be happy with that.

If the coons are not moving its kinda hard to tree them.Ive treed my fair share on a full moon night but it was usually close to dark or down a holler.
