I think Im thinking liberal thoughts or something. This is odd. I guess it just aint my list is all it is. In a perfect world. Any idiot would know that a terroist list meant crazy people like that guy the other night. They wouldnt even think about American citizens as being terroists unless they knew they had ties with isis or any other terroist group. If they even talk to them. Id put a flag on em. Thats just me I guess. Id have real terroists on the terroist list.

Yes YOU would, but if someone from peta got on the terrorist watch committee guess how many coon hunters would all of a sudden not be able to buy guns? Remember what the IRS did, yup it can happen anywhere there is power without DUE PROCESS.

White, Christian, Conservative, Military Experience: likely terrorist.
I guess since I was in the army and went over seas and fought these Muslims this is the group I must fit into, pretty silly but it's probably true that this is how we're viewed.
I'm against any other form of gun control the politicians want to put in place if we give in we just as well give up I'm not for that at all.
For all my fellow military folks on here Thank You all

It's not so crazy. The Democrats who will do anything to control you are using this tragedy to get gun control. Start a bill that says" terrorist cant by guns". Sounds great, but what is a terrorist? who is a terrorist? are you a terrorist for life? are you a terrorist because someone said you look like one ? are you a terrorist because you shoot an AR? So the Republicans will not let this come to a vote until this is answered and the dumbocrats grandstand this as Republicans want terrorists to have guns.
I all boils down to voting, Please if this bothers you, or not, VOTE!!!

Y'all are arguing/discussing who has the right to own or purchase a firearm. What about all of the gang members in places like Chicago, L.A., New York. Where are they getting all of those guns that they are murdering each other with? I see all of the yearly statistics about the daily murders in Chicago but I don't see any info on where they are buying their guns. Will gun control legislation stop them? One incident in Florida and the whole country is outraged. over where the shooter purchased his gun. Why isn't everyone trying to do something about "why" he shot all of those people.
Apparantly he was radicalized over the interweb. Shouldn't we outlaw the interweb or put some sort of controls on who can use the interweb? Why isn't there a list of people who are not allowed to use the interweb? I mean the use of the interweb is not guaranteed by the constitution is it? Why doesn't the government just stop the terrorists from using the interweb. Wouldn't that be a lot simpler? Anyone who posts something deemed to be having to do with terrorism would be banned from the interweb. UKC does it all of the time and it works. But I guess that would be way to simple and then what would all of those Homeland Security guys have to do. Maybe the Government should control the sale of computers. That makes a lot more sense to me. Wasn't that guy in Florida posting messages on facebook and texting his girlfriend while he was shooting those people. They should have taken away his cellphone/interweb service. I see on TV all of the time where crooks use "burner phones". I don't know exactly what they are but why is the government allowing the sale of them?

Before you go thinking that those 700,000+ and some that our gov't is "watching" shouldn't be able to purchase a gun realize that the executive branch is responsible for who gets on the list and there is no due process involved anyone can end up on their list for any reason or none at all. This list is not just for who people like you and I feel would be considered terrorist. The liberal agenda is once again using a tragedy to further their agenda of disarming Americans. Others that are targeted for immediate disarmment are many SS recipients who are no longer able to look after their own affairs (think of your parents or grandparents who another family member may pay their bills or has a power of attorney over them), anyone including military who has ever suffered from PTSD, anyone who has ever taken an antidepressant their list goes on and on. Don't be fooled read the fine print in these bills they want voted on next Tuesday. Bad guys will always find a way, look at 9/11 box cutters caused the demise of over 3,000 do we need a watch list to tell who can buy a razor? Guns are the one major remaining thing left on BO's agenda and they go to any lengths to fulfill it for him.
Our fore fathers did not grant us a second amendment for self protection, hunting ect, they granted it to each individual so that we as a people being armed would prevent gov't tyranny and protect states from over bearing central gov't control and take over. All the bills they want to pass are using to fear to infringe on individual rights of the people to keep and bear arms.

Great post

The christian family radio show "focus on the family" was on a hate group watch list at one time. If the government wants you on a list then your on. Dont give in to the scare tactics. Gun ownership is a right. Keeping people out of our country that hate us is the gov. job. Lets hold em to it!

Id not want you to have a gun.

Go ahead and tell Steven Hayes on Fox News that. He was placed on the terrorist watch list. Took him months and months to get off of it.

Ted Kennedy was on the No Fly List. Took him 3 weeks of direct appeals to the director of Homeland Security to get it cleared up. TED FREAKING KENNEDY. How long would it take you and I who have no political power and no access to the higher ups? Years maybe? You willing to give up your rights waiting for some government bureaucrat who could give a rats a$$ to work out you and 100's of others cases who shouldn't be on it?

You are not informed your on it until you find out at a bad time. You have no recourse of action. No court to argue your case to. You can't even face your accusers because you don't know who the heck they are.

I say go after the terrorist and leave your big net at home. When somebody's pledging allegiance to ISIS on FB and they aren't locked up, then leave guns out of it. Take away legal guns and they will get them illegally. Take away all guns and they will walk into the next public venue with bombs.

In the case of Steven Hayes, he and his wife flew to Turkey to go on a cruise, then flew home from Greece. The 1 way ticket to Turkey threw him on the terrorist watch list. Made no difference that he's the senor writer at the Weekly Standard, and that every week he appears as a commentator on CNN, Fox, etc. He was now a potential terrorist on the government list.

In the case of Ted Kennedy there was apparently another T. Kennedy that was on the list.

Dana Lash who hosts a show on the Blaze and author of the book Hands Off My Gun, says her father in law was mistakenly placed on the no fly list. She says his only crime is he wears socks up to his knees when mowing grass.

You all go ahead and trust the government to cast it's big net that determines who can and cannot fly and own guns. Last I checked every terrorist attack at home and abroad dating back to Carter, was by Muslim males 18-35 yrs old.

I don't care if convicted felons get a gun(s) provided they meet qualifications established by the city/county/state. There should be a minimum time of clean conduct, first offenders, references, etc.. Remember, the criminals will get a gun or weapon to use in commiting a crime anyway.

Re: Gun Control

I find it amazing that some want to blame the gun rather than the shooter. Watched Hillary and the DNC blast Sanders for supporting the gun manufacturers.

The fake news networks (CNN, Fox, MSNBC) essentially glorify these mass shootings by covering them incessantly and naming the killer. Why not just report that some "loser" who shall remain nameless (why give credit) killed people. Take the fame away!!! Instead of calling them Islamic jihadists, call them Satanic Killers (isn't it an act of evil???)!!! Again, no name, no fame!!! These killers think they are going down in a blaze of glory. Let's not give them that glory.

As tragic as Orlando was, look at what happens in the inner cities every day. Far more people killed. Now, look into the rural areas where nearly everyone has guns, and you see a very low crime rate. Put two and two together.

Drug overdoses on opiates is causing many times more deaths than guns. When is the last (or first) time you heard any politician (either party) wanting to hold pharmaceutical companies responsible??? Additionally, many of the gun deaths are related to drugs (including suicides from psychotic side effects of prescribed drugs)!!!

Enuff for now!!!
