Cruz was the leader, architect, and in the end the lone soul still standing on defunding obamacare, so therefore he gets both the credit and the blame, but he himself did not, nor could not shut down the government. He may be the reason, but he didn't pull the lever, that was the democrats.

Secondly Ted Cruz did NOT shut down the government. First of all he's a Senator. Funding comes from the House! Secondly at that time the Senate was controlled by the democrats. While all the republican yellow bellies were whining about all the positions they were going to lose because they were getting blamed for the shutdown, a yr later the republicans won in a landslide on the house side, and took over the senate. Again, maybe you should inform yourself???

Trump also wins some things substantially in that new Fox News General Election poll........problem is it's the wrong things.

"Scared" if elected President.

Trump 49% Clinton 33% Cruz 21%


Viewed Unfavorably

Trump 65% Clinton 58% Cruz 53%

Guys all you have to do is type in United States federal government shutdown 2013. You are all intelligent people and can read for yourselves. Look under the Wikipedia. The shutdown was being set in motion as early as 2010 by the republicans. I'm not taking one side over another as far as party affiliation . Both have hit an all time low in my book.
Kind of hard to argue against voting for a non-politician after reading that. But as someone said earlier..... Just go and vote.

Dawg, I've heard several people say they think that will happen or an attempt anyway if Trump is elected. As far as being polled, nope.

Do the numbers, they don't add up. The % of white vote keeps falling. Trump needs to do as good as Romney in the other demographics to have a fighting chance. In most cases he's doing far worse.

When Reagan won in 1980, whites made up 88% of the electorate. This yr it will be down to 70%. Meanwhile the % of demographics like hispanics have quadrupled.

Trump vs Hillary;
I'm betting alot of Democrat Sander's{Hunters,Gun Owners,Military,and Vets} voters will swing to Trump instead of voting for Hillary and losing their guns.Not incl. Bengazi and email lies reasons not to like her.

I'm betting Carson will swing more Black/African American votes.
Cruz voters will for Trump.

Trumps numbers will get better when Sanders and Cruz are out of the way.

The Trump Train can get bigger and beat Hillary!
