I hunted against Ralph and Terry and Ox the Fox owned by Roger Shabel at Redbone Days in MO in the 80s with my Annabelle female. It was super hot that night and dry conditions, Ox and my female ran something out of the country early on. Ralph got off by himself and got treed about half way through the hunt. He was one pretty tree dog. We got him off the tree and he was gasping bad. I told Terry we need to get him in the water cause he was over heated. He had foam all over his face. We got him in the creek and got him cooled down. I think he drank about a gallon of water. lol We walked out of there after he was acting better and Terry said "you should take this dog back with you. He needs a young kid like you to hunt him". Man if I had the money in my pocket I would have bought him right there. He was a big built dog and had a great looking head on him. I could tell he was a smart one.

I am sure no expert but that looks like a bunch of Ramblers. And wasn't Willard's Mighty Sue the dam of Steve-O? I think that I heard once that Rusty Red and Zack blood crossed pretty good.

Yes Sue was Steve O's dam And yes Richard crossing Zack and Rusty offsprings to one or the other worked really well. Also if you look in the 4th generation you will see a female called Wendy. She was a littermate to Zack that I hear was really tough. Ron Albee did a great job with those dogs and the breedings he made. You will really like this did you see there is some Rabble Rouser there? He is another hound that really impressed me.

Do you remember Roger when we turned loose Rambo and Little Zack together in Mississippi at James Robertsons with all those dogs? What a night! Lol... Rambo was one heck of a good hound. Also Hank had a hound called Redman that was a littermate to David Pratts Gr. Nite. Ch. Ace dog and a full brother to Gr. Nie. Ch. Little Zack that was a good hound out of an Ace ll female and a dog named Buck that went back to Zack and he came here and bred a female to Zack also. He must have liked them.

Thanks Brent I appreciate it. Stan it was good to visit with you too. Yes it was a pleasure to get Terry Hayes to go with me to the hunt. Terry took me with him all over the country to hunts with him when I was growing up. It was like old times. Allen I am going to try and keep it going as long as I can. Lol...
