Yes, I was in a popup blind and the bird came in from the side and slightly behind me. I had to stand up and slightly bend over to get the gun and red dot scope on the bird. Guess I didn't Have the stock solid against my shoulder. A week later all signs of my incident are about gone. I took a couple selfies right after I did it to see how bad it was. I and it looked worse than it was.

I went for 3rd time This am. Gobbled good at daylight but I couldnt do nothing with em. So at about 8:45 I stop and call. One sounds off about 400 yards in a field. I sneak in. See him in lower end. Call him all the way in took about an hr. Then I missed him lol. What happen next is good part. I was walking to truck. Thinking about what I would hunt tonight and for some reason thinking about snake boots. No sooner than all that passed. I hear something flop in grass an feel something hit my boot. Not snake boot. I didnt have them on. Anyhow I turn to see a snake just striking like crazy. So after I screamed like a little girl twice. I realized it was just a corn snake and figured Id save my $10 nitro and not kill it. I tell ya what though. Snake boots will be on if I get to go again hahaha. Skeered me to dang death.

Tagged out this morning! I'm done! 10.5 in beard and 1in spurs. Gobbled good and came right in. Didn't see him till he got about 15 steps away. Good season. See if I can't call one in for my son this weekend.

Got mine the opening morning, gobbled his head off on the roast with 3 others, he flew down strutted a bit and 6 minutes into my hunt my season was over. Easiest hunt for turkey I ever had. Had 10" beard, 1 1/4 spurs and weighed 22.5 #.

Not a turkey hunter. I should hire out as a guide though. Last week was youth season here, today is the first day of regular season. Seen 3 strutting gobblers in 2 different fields this morning.

Since it looks like everybody is done turkey hunting it's about time for a fishing Sticky. Going after the smallmouths, crappie and catfish if the rain ever lets up.
