So sorry to hear about Haze. The end of an era for a dog that truly left his mark. You know what we thought of his sister Sid up here. Without that cross they were out of, I wouldn't have what I have now. Thank you for your efforts with Haze in bettering the Redbone breed and best of luck going forward.

The end of an era..... I guess that is right. With the passing of Haze, that is the end of his litter. I guess that Moose is the only one left and then all of the T-Top hounds will be gone, so sad. I don't know about P Mike but it sure does make me feel old. But with the end of the Old T-Top Era there is always the beginning of the New ? Era.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for your condolences, posts, texts and calls. It has been overwhelming. Thank You.
My heart sank yesterday morning when I looked from my kitchen window and saw Haze laying in his pen next to his doghouse. I knew he was gone. He just turned 10 years old in November so I was hoping to have another couple of years with him.
He was a good Ole Dog for me and Allison. She loved him as well. He has hopefully made his mark and I hope a positive influence for our breed. I'm gonna miss him and at this point it still doesn't seem real. I put Frog in his pen last night since she is the top dog now at my place.
Ole Haze was one of those main connections for a lot of us in the Cartel and as well as other friends. He sure did help in making so many memories over the years. So long ole buddy, we miss you and thanks for being a good one.

Oh my goodness, that last picture was the beginning of the Virginia Cartel when we were all youngsters. We have all gotten a little grayer since then. Ol' Haze was there at the very beginning. I guess that he was the "spark" that started it all. ...What memories..... We will have to have a memorial for Ol' Haze the next time that we get together.

I think it was the 2011 cabin hunt, everyone went their way, but it was you with Haze, Richard with Bear, myself with Debo.. We walked a good little distance behind the cabin , down that creek ..and cut them loose.. If I remember correctly dogs got deep, Debo and Bear opening good, like they were looking at... I remember you saying... That if their running something they shouldn't Haze will tell on them, sure enough here comes Haze back.. I was like crap , my dog has never been trashy..Debo and bear got over 1 mile deep.. It was either you or Richard that said they are running blackie ( black bear ) .. I'm laughing now as I remember what Richard said " SO LONG BEAR "
Hope you find your way back..! I was like shoot.... I'm going to get my dog.. So... You gave Richard Haze.. You and I headed out on a long, up and down hills, through laurel thickets.. To get the dogs.i remember thinking to myself, I know I hunt big swamps, where sometimes it doesn't make good sense to even wear waders.. Because your gonna get soaked or bogged down anyway.. I also said these guys are crazy for hunting in this hills, I wouldn't have a coondog here.. Lol.. The dogs were treed, I had my camera in my pocket , excited to see a bear up when we got to them.. Those dogs I think we're treed for more than an hour.. But met us 300 yards from the tree.. Now I'm thinking about that walk out , luckily you took us a different route out, Richard picked us up on a mountain rd somewhere.. Thanks for the memories, so sorry about Haze, I know he was special..
