Shane

They don't ever have a problem taking my $$$$ either.
Congratulations on your win this weekend. Thank you for supporting our breed.
Richard, I am very proud of Psalm, and Larry is my friend. Like you, Larry is one of the few that has done what he told me he would do. Psalm, Ginger, Dan,DJ, and Bill, are all from the Deuce X Musicmaker cross. These is a couple more out there from that cross that are COONDOGS, but they belong to please hunter's.

Richard

Larry is a walker man. Larry drew Deuce in a hunt one night and liked what he saw.

The guy in the hoodie scares me alittle. The dog looks friendly though. Congrats to all of you.

I guess that no one won any UKC hunts this weekend? Or are y'all just keeping it a secret so that we won't "talk" about you.

Do you think that they have a "list"? If so, I wonder who all is on it? Do you think that it is posted anywhere? I wonder if I am on it?

Oh, you just made me think of an excellent idea. UKC needs such a list, with performance points, man some of us could really get rich...

Richard, see what you can do, I'm ready to pay up my performance fee.

I don't think that they would reward "bad performance".

Im not trying to get on any black lists....I am just trying to promote the breed, congratulate those who win and recognize the dogs they have done it with.
Im happy with what I see in many areas of the redbone breed...especially some of the break outs that the redbones have been making in top level hunts...and some just happen to be in other registries. I dont think its helpful to the breed to try to hide or silence wins in other registries...but I understand ukc doesnt want their board to be used to advertise or promote the hunts of other registries as well.
To me recognizing a win after the fact isnt promoting a hunt or another registry...it is giving a dog credit for what it has won.
To me...ukc is the one registry everyone (at least 97% anyway) already uses to register their dogs....even if they never even hunt ukc events. You just cant move pups or breed dogs without ukc papers. They also have one of if not the best websites and forums. More people come to the ukc forum redbone page for information than any other forum by at least a factor of ten....
So thats why it frustrates me when some of the moderators get nit picky and delete threads congratulating dogs on wins in other registries. Come on....those type threads are promoting the dog and its accomishments...not the other registry...right?
Unless the poster is giving specific details about a hunt before hand and encouraging people to go and espousing the benefits of hunting in another registries hunts...then I dont feel like what I am reading is promoting another registry.
Ukc has the most complete registry in the business and its the one every other registry aspires to be like. The big difference is in the type of hunts they put on and the titles and awards they give out. I think other registries have evolved into more of a money based win system and I see ukc moving in that direction_with slams and super slam hunts...but at a slower pace.
I honestly dont think you have anything to worry about ukc...really I dont.
If your worried about losing business its not because of anything that gets posted on this forum...its because more and more people are gravitating towards money based awards hunts. Hunts that are geared towards state, breed, and nationwide races over a years time instead of the highest title ending at grand nite champion. Once you earn that title...your dog has topped out unless you win a really big hunt like a.o., grand american, winter classic or the world hunt. If you want to make things exciting and keep the top level dogs competing in ukc hunts throughout the year....come up with a race format. You have one in the purina points race...but the changes to a state championship format turned a lot of people off to it years ago.
Anyway...my point is, I think that sometimes the moderators are being a little too restrictive on their policy about promoting other registries when people post about a dog getting a big win in another registry. The people who make thos posts are not doing it to help the other registry...they are simply trying to give a redbone the credit that is due and promote the individual dogs accomplishment. I hope the moderators can tell the difference and maybe not be so quick to take down posts that are about a dog and his or her win. I dont blame them at all for deleting posts that promote other registries and particular hunts put on by those registries...that clearly violates their policy.
Anyway, thats my two cents. I hunt more dogs in ukc and spend more money with their registry and programs than any other...and I think most others do to...but like most others...I too go to other registry hunts from time to time but ukc is far and away the biggest and most complete and most important dog registry for coonhounds so if they are worried...I dont think they should be...

Shane, that should get you a bunch of "good" performance points. I wonder if they subtract your good performance from your bad performance. Then maybe we could get off of that list at some point. (But I am probably destined to stay on it.)

I don't know if it was on the thread being discussed here because there were a few threads talking about the hunt going on at the same time. But someone cut and pasted the play-by-play from the $KC web-site and posted it on the thread.

That is crossing the line in my mind because $KC did not give that person permission to copy it and UKC would not condone posting it.

I find these UKC guys to be pretty fair and reasonable. I have never considered any of their actions to be petty or jealous. All in all, there are usually pretty good reasons for their actions on here.

I just try to call em like I see em. Im not trying to promote any one registry over another...I am just trying to help improve the redbone breed and promote its best dogs and grow the breed and hopefully see it on top some day. UKC is a big part of that....so I really hope the moderators understand where I am coming from about this. I think things are really setting up for an exciting episode in redbone history and I guess I just want everyone to be able to see it, follow along and be a part of it as it unfolds and the ukc redbone forum is the best place for folks to come for information and updates. I like being able to get on here from day to day and keep track of what dogs are winning where ....it keeps me and others well informed on the breed and I dont want some misunderstandings to ruin that.

Oh my goodness..... Do you mean that it didn't have anything to do with UKC's opinion of the person posting or the dog? And here I thought that they were "playing favorites". I guess that I should call Mr Gingrich and apologize.

Uh...there were two threads deleted and only one had the play by play posted on it. Jack posted that play by play and I knew that was crossing the line so a different thread was started that was not promoting the other registries but instead promoting three dogs on nice wins and it was taken down at the same time...so nice try. This thread that you started did more to promote that registry and that hunt before it happened than anything I posted...and yet this thread remains up...so maybe you should apologize
If the play by play was the only problem...why not delete the post of the play by play and leave the thread up? The guy who posted it was not the same guy who started the thread...

It sure is hard to keep up with everything that is going on on this forum these days. My head is starting to spin. And I was just complaining about how boring that it had become.

Hey Guys

I was the one that pulled the threads on PKC Redbone Days. No harm, no foul, but PKC has a message board that you can talk about that sort of stuff on all you want. As for any other posts regarding PKC or anything like that, I myself can't catch them all, especially when they are hidden in responses to other threads like this.

I think Jerry Moll would agree with me if the shoe was on the other foot.

I wish you all the best of luck in any prospective hunts you plan to attend in the future! Keep um' rolling.

Oh my goodness, it was that sorry Corey Gruver that deleted your threads and not "UKC". Maybe y'all had better send some of that money to him instead of UKC and he won't delete them. I tried to call Mr Gingrich to apologize for thinking bad thoughts about him but I could not get through.

I used to post threads/comments on Mr Moll's board all of the time. But I posted a thread about UKC once so they banned me. Now I can only post on this board. I can only read what others post and the race standings on Mr Moll's board. I have been told that anyone can post whatever they want on the Facebook board but I haven't been able to figure out how to "get on" that board. This is why I tried to call and apologize to Mr Gingrich. I don't know what I would do if he kicked me off of his message board.

Mr Moll does not have a "board"

Richard, if you are referring to the PKC Forum, there must be some confusion. You have an active forum account that shows you have never been banned.

Oh my goodness, what in the world are you doing over here. To most of us you are the "face" of PKC. It says my account is active but I have tried several times to get on and it won't let me, so I thought that I was barred.
