new question

everything has been going great with us non hunting alpha. My daughter just bought a golden retrieve and she bought a tt15 to train it. The question I have is that I want to be alerted when the dogs leave 300 yards from me. I have looked up and down on the alpha, and I can not get it. I have set an alert for 200 yards, but I do not think I have linked it with a dog. any help would be appreciated. thanks, d

IMO this is where the Alpha with a T15 collar is worth its weight in GOLD!

I use the tone feature for a come command. There are times when a dog is so far it may not hear me or when I don't want to be hollaring or whistling loudly tyring to get mine to come back to me.

I use the vibrate feature as a no command. Meaning whatever you are doing is wrong! Going back to a tree, treeing in the ground, standing on your head on a track etc. If that collar vibrates then an e stimulation is coming if things don't change real quick. It doesn't take long for a dog to figure out that vibration means NO.

.

I don't have my ALPHA with me today but there are generally two set up for alerts. Firs the actual thing you want to be alerted to and it sounds like you have that done. It is specific to the dog and found under specific dog set up. Second is general alert setup which allows you to select the top of alert you want to hear or see. I would go to You Tube and search for alert setup if you can't find it.

I always wondered if a guy could teach one not to cover by turning the light on.
