Now that would be a neat list. I would love to see that.

Cookie and Kate would have to be at or very near the top and so would Bell and Raven. It would certainanly be an "interesting" list.

Here is a little of that "research" that Mr Marshall alluded to. Mr Solberg was also a fan of line breeding. As you can see they used a lot of line breeding back then to get those top foundation females. That is what I learned from Mr Marshall and stored away in my little pea brain.

Maybe Mr Marshall can show us how Wapsie River Cookie fits in with this discussion. And it is interesting to note that Gr Nt Willow(Rabble X Sally) was just bred to Gr Nt Billy the Kid who was a great grandpup of TC on the top and Ace on the bottom. So BTK is very linebred/inbred TC since Ace is also inbred TC. It just goes round and round in a circle if you research it as Mr Marshall has done.

Oh my goodness, it just goes round and round and round. Now what happens when you breed those Fiddle females to Big Red Jim?
Or if you take one of my Jim X Wendy females and breed her to a Moonlight male?
Or if someone bred Gr Nt Smith's Banjo Cat to one of those Moonlight studs?
Or what if someone bred one of those Sawblade females (like Fixin) to Gr Nt Boone?
Or when they bred Gr Nt Willow to Gr Nt Billy The Kid?

Would these be outcrosses or would they really be just more linebreeding?

What did Music's pedigree look like? What does Steve-O's pedigree look like? I tried to breed my Long Tall Sally to Steve-O once when she was older but she did not take. Another one of my many mistakes/misfortunes. That should have been an excellant cross. I don't have Pearl's pedigree here since I sold her.
And surely there are more females out there that we could/should be looking at. I don't think that they all can be Rusty/Chief/Ace/TC bred.

Corey, what about Pebbles? Isn't her Dam a full sister to Music? What does "Yellow River" Rocky's pedigree look like? What does Josey's pedigree look like?

What about Scott Perkey's Sierra? What does her extended pedigree look like?

I have a lot more questions than I have answers. Where is Danny Mc? I bet he has a lot of the answers.

Moonlight Kate has Timber Chopper over 22 times:

BTK was out of Outlaw Jessie x Burning Ben. Jessie was a great grandpup of TC through her mom Bear Creek Ruby who was out of Coffman's Joe (son of TC). Burning Ben was out of Miller's Betsy who was out of Ace (grandson of TC x2) and Famous Amos (grandson of TC and great grandson of TC x2). So BTK was a great great grandson of TC top and bottom and had TC at least 6 times not counting any TC in Red Oak Mike's pedigree. Cookie was a daughter of BTK and a Henning's Chief daughter so it brought in Ace twice through Betsy and Henning's Chief. She had TC 8x.

Ratt was a heavy linebred TC dog as well that goes back to our stuff. His dad Burning Bed listed above was bred to a female named Timber Rose out of Timber Jack x Bosley's Kate. Kate was a half sister to Timber Jack's mom with the same type of breeding (Both out of Redmond's Queen - inbred TC x2) and Bower's Timber Hawk out of Timber Scanning Radar and a TC daughter. Bosley's Kate was TC 4x. Breeding her back to TJ brought in TC 9x. Ratt had TC 14x.

Ratt x Cookie = TC 22x = Moonlight Kate!

When a female has that much concentrated TC blood in her, it's not hard to see why she reproduced the way she did.

The cross of Breeanna (2x Kate) x Jet (1x Kate)= 3x Kate, and 70x Timber Chopper. Breeding back to G-Man (30x TC) creates offspring with 100x TC. This is going to create a popcorn popper effect!

You are kind of right Richard Pebble's dam was GRNTCH Nighty Nite Josey. Josey and Music would have been half sisters, with both females being sired by GRNTCH Yellow River Red Rocky. The interesting thing about that is that Josey's dam and Music's dam would have been littermate sisters (Sweet Magnolia Maggie and Red Sunset Red Roxy). So I guess in a sense, Music and Josey were kind of "sisters".

I don't know but from this it looks to me like Outlaw, Moonlight, T-Top, Rambling Red and Hoffmeister are all really just different "branches" of the Timber Chopper line. It is amazing how many good solid branches of this tree grew from just one trunk. And when you breed these branches together, you think that you are outcrossing but are you really?

Rooster was out of a line of dog that held the name "Springsteen".

So how many "tree trunks" are there out there? Is/was the Blakesly line a completely separate trunk? Did it continue on or was it pruned so much that it was all branches and looked like a bush? How about the Fireball line? Where are all of those Fireballers that used to be around? I haven't seen/heard anything from them in this discussion. Just how many trunks are there? Surely Max Hunter's TC is not the only one.
