I Googled it and it looks like a worthwhile addition to the feed. Since Krogers has it in 12oz bottles, im gonna try for my dogs and myself.

I know the sled guys get tubs of chicken fat, and will mix it with other things like eggs, venison, elk adding it to dry food.

Yeah, but those guys live in places where there is no law and you can shoot something behind your house that weighs a thousand pounds and turn it into free dog feed.

Jim this is a really honest question are y'all doing this to give them more energy when it's cold or for more energy to hunt harder longer? It gets cold here but it don't stay that way long my dogs hunt better when it's cooler because it gets so hot here in the summer. Just wondering what the purpose for doing this always open to learn somthing new !

you can get both at TSC and a lot of other feed stores , at TSC the 50lb bag is around $20.00 and a gallon of oil is around $24.00 and its in the horse section , if you get the bag make sure you read the labels because they sell 3 or 4 types of it and i just checked the bags on what i am using and its MEAL so get the bag that says meal on the label ..

If your talking about the old Purina that had no regular form, remember, we always added secret stuff to it and still use the secret stuff, sometimes I wish could say more about the secret stuff

I can just remember getting after those old running coons in July and August and running them for an hour or more somtimes they just wouldn't climb in those ceder breaks and they would catch them pull them off and go tree two or three more I think a lot of it is trying to put somthing in a dog that is not there !! Are you talking about cod liver oil or corn oil or left over grease from the fish fry lol!!!
