Hi Allen...yes Kenwood Shooting Star was own by Terry Bryce , down by Indiana\Lexington.Ky border . I owned a pup from Kenwood Shooting Star and Speaker ..best little pup I ever owned. She died later (8-10 mths) when she got a bite up by a coon( Coon Paralysis) .natural on the first night out .

Terry ..I believe was a handler or had Speaker living at his house . He use to run against Hardwood Dan n Hardtime Spanky in the local hunts and beat them all the time . I still have the letter from him. back before computers .. yes we had to write letters or call

Crying Katie was own by Berry Jenkins who lived in the same area...and just coming on strong. They would swim Katie over a small lake for conditioning

Terry did say (I remember) that the mother of Shooting Star was quite the tree dog anyways ..back to work

Good to hear about this line of dogs. Jenkins Crying Katie was a daughter of Little Man and granddaughter of Ace. She was the mother to Too the Max. Katie got out on me one night and I came out of the house to a kennel full of barking dogs. She was treed about 100 yards from the kennel with a coon in a small tree and her mouth was all foam. She was a bug eyed tree dog!

Brandy was that way too. One night at the AKC World Hunt in OH , she came in near us after all the dogs blew up on a track. I saw the coon in the tree before she came in. We were standing on the bridge above her and she let out a big screaming locate and sat down right below us. I treed her and the guys in the cast just shook their heads at what a tree dog she was. One guy said man that took some balls to tree her that close to us by herself. That dog could take more pressure than any dog I've owned. She never missed a beat on that tree and had it by herself to win the cast. I'll take 5 more just like her.
