Hello Randy, Hope you had a good hunting season. I would be glad to tell you the linage of my hounds and how they go back to the Beech River hounds.
My Dads first registered hound was Mayles Beech River Dolly. Dolly was out of Beech River Jabo, who was out of Beech wood Mann, who was out of Beech River Sputnick. We bred Dolly to a local dog that was bred similar to Vanzants Sam on one side. With that cross I got Mayles Hooper Ridge Joy. We bred Dolly a second time to Bates Screaming Deamon and I got Mayles Tree Banging Buddy. I bred Joy to Gr.Nt.Ch Whitts Blue Jim(Bates Blue CashXParkers Rambling Sue) and Got Nt.Ch Mayles Hooper Ridge Queen. I bred Queen to Buddy and got Nt.Ch Raw Dawg Rowdy. I then later on bred a grand daughter of Rowdy, (Gr.Nt.Ch. Hooper Ridge Dolly) back to Rowdy and got my Gr.Nt,Ch. Hooper Ridge Rocket. So Rocket was double Beech River Jabo, and Double/Triple Bates Blue Cash, Ladybird, Boyds Little Joe, Parkers Rambling Sue.
I then bred Rocket to a female directly off Michigan Swamp Rooster and that is where I got my Gr.Nt.Ch. Hooper Ridge Rockets Top Gun. My Holly female is a grand daughter to Gr,Nt.Ch Mayles Hooper Ridge Dolly. Last summer I bred my Gun dog to Holly and I now have this pup (7 months old tomorrow) that would again be double/double Beech River Jabo. Jabo, again was out of Beech Wood Mann, and Beech Wood Mann was out of Beech River Sputnick.(I'm pretty sure)
Any time you see Raw Dawg Rowdy on this pedigree that will be double Beech River Jabo. As Rowdy's Father "Buddy" was a grand pup to Jabo and Mayles Hooper Ridge Joy was also a grand pup of Jabo, as both dogs were out of Mayles Beech River Dolly. Hope this is not too confusing.
