I prefer females. Probably only because the best dog I ever owned was a female. Also used to hunt with guys who always had males and I got tired of all the pissing and sniffing around before they would go hunting.
I used to hunt with a male dog that was great unless he was around a female and then he became a complete idiot. Sort of like a teenage boy!
