Got a few possiblities but nothing confirmed yet if u can guide please let me know, and i dont mind driving a ways as long as you have coons.

Why is it I can come there and pleasure hunt and tree a ton of coons, but when I come out for autumn oaks the cast is lucky to tree one coon?

when you started this you was looking for a guide so you didnt have to drive long ways.. now you say dont mind driving long as you have coon... sounds to me like you looking for a guide that has coon so you can take dog out ahead of time to get lay of land... happens every year . best of luck... ill drive 7 hrs an take my draw out an go were my guide goes...

Yes thats y i stared it and still dont want to drive far and when did i say i wanted to. I said id drive a ways. So how long is a ways to u. See really it doesnt matter if people dont agree with it. Itll never stop it from happening. and like always people will lose and say its because someone else cheated. Happens every yr

well i drive 7 hrs every yr to get there. an have drove 3 an half hrs to hunt one night then 2 hrs to hunt the next night... at the mercy of a guide.. but thats y its called drawing out.. every body that sends there entry in is wanting to hunt in alot of coons.. but if you have a coon dog he will go find one.. so if you find somebody to guide you ur not gona go up an hunt the spots untill you go for autum oaks... everybody that finds guides before hand is going out to hunt weeks before so there dog is familiar with the land... i have hunted with guys that were guiding an we had to meet our real guide at a gas station so we could hunt... if thats what you wana do hope you find one... i love going an dont care were i hunt cuz there aint no place in indiana that is as bad to hunt as what wva is.. an we got thin coon.. my dog will b going to find one... best of luck finding you a guide.,.

Well like i said before doesnt matter how many coons u tree still gotta beat other dogs in ur cast. I dont see any difference in finding a guide and drawing a guide (and no im not going up ahead of time to hunt, ill be there thursday after work). It doesnt matter if i find one or not still gonna hunt as yes i do have a coondog but yes id like to increase my chances of winning (yes i know everyone would like to,, than do something to do it not sit and complain bout everyone else doing it) its like any sport u pick the best players to have best chance of winning. When a team wins they dont have a note next to their name saying well they had better players du. Just like coonhunting. Im sure when mr clean or buddy won AO they didnt have a note next to their name saying well they were put in more coons is the reason they won. Its the name of the game coonhunting. If u dont tree em u cant win period. So good luck to everyone.

I can take you 6 hr from AO and put you in so many coon you would think you went to heaven I could probably guide 2 or 3 cast. scoring up in the 1000 is no problem if you have a nice dog.

LOL don't feel bad I thought the same thing. 5-6 hours is about how long it takes me to get to AO and I thought when I read that post "darned if I would want to drive clear out there just to drive back home to hunt" LOL

I went to Autumn Oaks last year and drew out with a non-hunting guide. Our first drop was 3 miles from the Fairgrounds. It was a beautiful spot, a small patch of woods with cornfields all around it. I thought that I had gone to coon hunting heaven and was one of the luckiest guys there. We were struck in one minute and proceeded to run a coon in the corn for one hour before he climbed about 800 yds away in the only tree around and right on the side of the road. I think that 200 + won our cast that night. Having the best guide on the grounds does not guarantee you a good score.

well the fastest I have ever drove it is 4 hr and I have drove it 3 times in the last 2 weeks, now you add another 1/2 to 2 hours to get to Michigan and that is where the time come in,

as far as my phone ringing yes I have had 2 calls and 4 text people wanting to know what I would charge so USMC is not the only one that is looking for a guide.

I just map quested it from LA Porte to Richmond is 3hr and 41 min as the crow flies from Richmond to one place in Mich is 3hr and 49 min you can add 20 to 30 min on Map quest.

I put this on here just to see how many people would respond. USMC it was nice talking to you, there is a lot of people wanting guides they just won't say it.

I live as far from Convoy as I do Richmond. I know the Darbydale Club used to be a satelite for Autumn Oaks and I live about 50 mins from Darbydale.

You could either guide from convoy or from the grounds if its the same disstance id just guide from the grounds. 2.5 to be put in coons isnt bad for AO. If u truely have coons everyone in ur cast will willing drive that far.
