I have never had a problem and I use them in my dog box in the truck also, I have owned 3 rig dogs, and my male will strike in the box going down the road. I have had beagles as well it did not bother them.

Ok just checking lol. Thought I might make a few bucks. I'm with you on the cedar chips though. My cousin had a dog that would catch a skunk almost every time we hunted and go tree a coon after. Always amazed me he could smell a coon after getting a face full of skunk .I can't imagine cedar chips would mess one up.

I went to Walmart and got some last year.Just look for Tree&shrub insect with Imidacioprid 1.47 as the active ingredent. I give about 10 ML CC to a 70LB dog half 5 CCs down their back and 5 CCs down their belly

cynthia, how do you dose the dominion 2L? it's 21.4%. i've been using it but not sure at all i'm doing it right. I draw 1/2cc into syrenge and then draw 3cc permithren, shake to mix and apply to back of dog. i'm just guessing at the amount of dominion to use.

Natural remedies to control flea and ticks can be preferred.

this site talks about using dawn soap and vinegar mix for washing dogs, an added benefit is it repels fleas.

I second the permethrin spray from Tractor Supply. That's what worked best for us. We also bathed our dogs in blue dawn and let them dry before spraying them down.

One I would be very leery of is the Bravecto pill. It all but killed my parents' dog and after looking into it there have been quite a few reports of dogs having bad reactions to it.

Try sprinkling Dietemacous Earth on the dog and on the ground on and around the dogs chain or kennel. It dries up the skeleton of the flea and kills them. $14.99 for 40 pounds at Rural King.

I've been killing fleas for a month now. Tried everything under the sun. Finally the pill nexguard worked. Then spray called high yield 38 pro or plus one. Can't rem. Also git some spray called NyGuard. Keeps them from hatching. I've sprayed and sprayed and sprayed. Finally got a grip on em.

Simparica is the easiest and best flea/tick product I've ever used or sold. It's better than Bravecto and NexGard when it comes to speed of kill on ticks. We've had zero reactions to it so far and the dogs like it. You can treat 44-88# dogs for about $9 per month. Let me know if you need a source.

Doc hooked me up with this and have been very happy. This stuff with some sawyers spray before hunting and haven't had anything on the dogs all summer.
