hey guys....
As you scroll through the pages of these stud dog pages, I want to draw you to something that I believe seperates Sonny from any dog on these pages.....DNA
Sonny was a pup that started running and treeing with an old dog at 3 months and 1 week old and never stopped. He was hunted hard for a pup that size. About 3 nites a week. He never went backwards, he just stayed consistent. He could run any kind of track. He was hunted in thick Mississippi conditions, Creeks, ditches, briar patches, hills, corn patches etc. He ran coon to catch and was always an accurate pup.
Here is the kicker....He produced the same. He was bred to a very good country coon dog that was nothing special other than she just treed coons nite after nite. From that cross came a pup I kept and the rest were given away. The pup I kept started running a track at 3 months and a couple weeks old all by himself and no old dog. I was exercising him on a 4-wheeler and letting him run through the woods. He just raised his head in the air and barked and then lit out full open mouth on track and ran out of hearing. I turned a caged coon loose on him about 2 days later and he struck it and ran it and treed it. all by himself by scent.
Not by sight.
Dna is important. Some dog trainers can shock and beat a dog to train them to do what they want them to do. When genetics and DNA are at the forefront, you get what you get with Sonny. IT is in his blood to run and tree a coon and he reproduced it.
If you have what you consider to be the best female in your circle, you owe it to yourself to consider Sonny. He has a huge mouth and is a tremendous tree dog. Very impressive. He has the meat. He is a tough competition dog and you can have fun hunting him with the .22. Either way. He is all coondog and reproduces Coondogs.
I have been coonhunting for over 50 years. Sonny was by the far the greatest Freak of nature I ever saw in all those years.
He is good looking ,tight made and medium sized. A mouth much bigger for a dog his size.
His littermates did the same as he did. Started at just a few months old.
After all....When we are looking for a stud arent we looking for what he can throw? Well if that is a starting point for you, you need to look no farther that Super Sonny.
He is centrally located in North Miss. About 30 minutes south of Memphis, Tn.
Give him a try and you will be the talk of your coonhunting circle when these pups hit 5 months old. Not every stud dog on here can say that.
