Sonnys littermate brother

did the same thing. He was running and treeing at 4 months old and as a pair of pups. they could run a coon through stuff most dogs would give up on. that bark tracking blood in them made them that way. Sonnys brother was on a powerhouse hound that got killed by a snake bite down the swamps of the 20 mile bottoms of mantachie Ms before he turned 3. We all were sick when that happened including his owner.

So Sonny's DNA is sound. The litter ran and treed early and Sonny through the same in his first litter of pups.
Would like to see someone breed a real nice gyp to him.
We will help you sell your pups. I know a few guys looking for pups from sonny.

Hey Jeff....

you are starting to start a stir talking about Sonny...Had one of my buddies call me today and the whole conversation was about Sonny.
There's 3 nt. chs all chasing grand right around here. you, A grandson of Bo(Sonny's Dad) and a black dog. Gonna be a fun race down to the finish line watching you guys hunt it out.

Sonny was just a coondog from the day he was born. I have never seen a pup like him in all my 50 years of coonhunting. He just went hunting and starting running and treeing and just never stopped. never ran junk as a young dog and I mean we hunt in deer country. Saw him on more than one occasion when he and his brother were less than a year old get turn loosed in fields on the edge of woods and deer just jumping up and running off and them two young dogs went right through the middle of them and tree coons.

We have to get something bred to him soon. I think folks are really missing a real nice chance here in Miss, and Tn and western ark not breeding to this nice hound. He's a looker as well. Solid big mouth tree dog. And can flat run a track.

Shoot out in North Miss......

man man heard there was a heck of a cast this past weekend with Super Sonny and his great nephew Southern Farms Looking up Jeb on their Nite Ch. cast....

Jeb won by a hair and I heard John and Jeff had to swim to an island and get them pulled off a tree and then swim back.

These two hounds will be facing off weekend after weekend.

they are both Bad to the Bones coondogs. You dont want to draw either of them.
Congrats boys....Yall both have nice hounds and their both related.

they both scored close to 400 ea.

hey guys....

As you scroll through the pages of these stud dog pages, I want to draw you to something that I believe seperates Sonny from any dog on these pages.....DNA

Sonny was a pup that started running and treeing with an old dog at 3 months and 1 week old and never stopped. He was hunted hard for a pup that size. About 3 nites a week. He never went backwards, he just stayed consistent. He could run any kind of track. He was hunted in thick Mississippi conditions, Creeks, ditches, briar patches, hills, corn patches etc. He ran coon to catch and was always an accurate pup.

Here is the kicker....He produced the same. He was bred to a very good country coon dog that was nothing special other than she just treed coons nite after nite. From that cross came a pup I kept and the rest were given away. The pup I kept started running a track at 3 months and a couple weeks old all by himself and no old dog. I was exercising him on a 4-wheeler and letting him run through the woods. He just raised his head in the air and barked and then lit out full open mouth on track and ran out of hearing. I turned a caged coon loose on him about 2 days later and he struck it and ran it and treed it. all by himself by scent.
Not by sight.

Dna is important. Some dog trainers can shock and beat a dog to train them to do what they want them to do. When genetics and DNA are at the forefront, you get what you get with Sonny. IT is in his blood to run and tree a coon and he reproduced it.

If you have what you consider to be the best female in your circle, you owe it to yourself to consider Sonny. He has a huge mouth and is a tremendous tree dog. Very impressive. He has the meat. He is a tough competition dog and you can have fun hunting him with the .22. Either way. He is all coondog and reproduces Coondogs.

I have been coonhunting for over 50 years. Sonny was by the far the greatest Freak of nature I ever saw in all those years.
He is good looking ,tight made and medium sized. A mouth much bigger for a dog his size.
His littermates did the same as he did. Started at just a few months old.

After all....When we are looking for a stud arent we looking for what he can throw? Well if that is a starting point for you, you need to look no farther that Super Sonny.

He is centrally located in North Miss. About 30 minutes south of Memphis, Tn.
Give him a try and you will be the talk of your coonhunting circle when these pups hit 5 months old. Not every stud dog on here can say that.

Hey guys....dont over look Sonny as a

Stud dog.

If you go back and look at SFWALKERS stud ad post on here, Sonny is a half sister to the mother of his stud dog Southern Farms Jeb.

I am always constantly looking for a list or stable of Studs that I would breed to so that when I get ready to breed, the homework is done.
I am a Treeing walker Breeder and have been for well over 30 years. I have high high expectations from a walker stud. As you can see by looking on this Walker Stud board, there is probably over 100 walker studs and many many are dual Gr. champions.
So it is very hard to choose a stud with a market that is absolutely flooded with studs. There are enough on here that you can find a marketable stud fairly close to you so that you dont have to drive a long way.
With that said here is what I look for in a stud when I make a cross on one of my females:
1. Intelligence
2. Balanced on track and tree
3. Good mouth. The louder the better
4. Good looking and lots of color preferred.
5. Stud was an early starter
6. Confirmation when possible and cat footed when possible

Right here in North Miss we have several nice studs that I feel are very worthy of your consideration. To me they all fit what I look for and I would not hesitate to breed to any one of them
Right now my list just in Mississippi is:

1. Southern Farms Jeb.... John Walker
2. Super sonny......William Marshall
3. Bodacious......Tyler Hawkins
4. Bark...... Wayne Hornkey
5. Bullet.....Gary Horton

John Walker has all his contact info on his own stud page. Gary Horton has a stud ad under Hortons Bullet on the stud page. Sonny has his own stud ad...Bark is on my kennel page.
Bodacious is local here in Batesville, ms and I can put you in touch with Tyler.
All these studs are worthy of your consideration if you live in north Miss. Eastern Ark, and West Tn.
I put my stamp of approval on anyone of these studs. All are very balanced and dont have any major faults that would make me not consider them.
Everyone of them fit my list above of bottom line requirements.
If you cant find the contact info for any of them or you want me to put you in contact with their owner, pm me and Ill get you their contact info and tell you as much as I know.

A lot of females come in twice a year and many will be coming in season in the next month. If you have decided to breed your female and you live in this tri-state area, I encourage you to take advantge of my 51 years of hunting experience and 34 years of breeding the same line of hounds and save yourself a lot of phone calls and frustration trying to filter through 100 stud page ads.

Give these dogs a shot...they all have Skuna River lines in them because down here in North Miss, we need a track dog and the Skuna River line is well known for that and they are not bad on the tree either.
I will help you sell the pups on here if you choose one of these studs, cause I believe in them.
I sometimes take 2 to 3 years to make a cross and I am very fond of my females and I dont take lightly when I breed one of them. When you take that long of a time to make a cross you can bet I have done my homework. I dont want to waste a whole lot of my time if they are not ready to be singled out by the time they are 6 to 7 months old. these dogs will throw you that kind of pup time after time.

Keep um spotted.
Be sure to look up Southern Farms Jeb at Autumn Oaks in a couple weeks he is one good looking motor scooter and if you draw him, your hound better eat its Wheaties!!!!!

Back up for ......

Dual champion....Ch. Nt. ch. Super Sonny. Sonny is a coon dog. When you unleash him you better be ready to go hunting. He is a pull pressure tree dog with a huge mouth. Medium built, tight made hound that made Show champion with 3 straight shows ...one being the Miss state best of Show Male.
He was the youngest starting dog I ever saw in 51 years of hunting. He started at 3 months and a week old. I can give you references if you think that is a lie or fluke. Im not talking about turn loose coons. I am talking about running him with an old dog that he just naturally ran and tree his first nite in the woods and never stopped. 6 years later he is still treeing coons nite after nite.
Sonny reproduced a pup that started at 3.5 months old. He could run a coon running with his nose straight out in the air and could fly on track. Sonny is a proven reproducer. You will be glad you bred to him when you breed that nice female to him and you see what your pups are doing at a freakish age.

Sonny is the real deal in the stud pen and the woods.
I dont own a hair on Sonny, I just know a coondog when I see one.
