If you quit you are going to miss a few things. Things like nasty spit cups in your vehicle. That panicked feeling you get when you can't remember where you left your can of chew. You know , constantly moving your dip to a place in your mouth that doesn't feel raw or burned.

My favorite was Skoal Wintergreen Long Cut. Dang that stuff smells and tastes good. Hope you can all give it up or at least cut back.

Oh yes that spot that feels like 120 grit sand paper....

A friend of mine isnt yet 40 just fount out he has pancreatic and colin cancer he has two young kids its is almost a garantee it was from chew. if any of you know about pancreatic cancer you know he is gonna need a stand in at his kids graduation, wedding, and so on. think about it. the stuff taste great and calms nerves but is it worth leaving a widow and fatherless kids? Just something to think on. every day i pray for him and hope he is one of the 6%.

Not trying to be disrespectful or funny at all, but how do you get pancreatic cancer or colon cancer from snuff? This is a serious question. I hope your buddy gets better, I really do. Cancer isn't something easy to deal with, and it seems like every day there's something new out there that causes it. I'll be praying for him and his family in their situation.

Swollowing the spit once it goes down it comes in contact with all your digestive system and your colon is the last stop and is the part of your system that takes most nutrients and non nutrients into your body.

Ditto. It's a nasty, disgusting, expensive habit. I did it for 20+ yrs, but quit about 12 yrs ago. It was hard to quit, but if I can do it anybody can. Only thing harder to kick than tobacco was Mt. Dew.

Snuff

I started smoking at thirteen . I was smoking a pack a day at fifteen . I started chewing tobacco in my teens Levi Garrett . I quit smoking in my twenties and started rubbing snuff . The blue can of skoal . I loved it . I told my wife it was safe, at that time they didn't have any warnings on the can . I had it in my mouth all the time . I am a retired rural mail carrier . I cased my mail with it in my mouth . It was by far the most addictive thing I ever did . When the warnings came out on the can she reminded that I said I would quit when that happened . It was the hardest thing I ever did . The truck I am driving now I bought off the widow of a guy that died at thirty-four as a result of rubbing snuff . His oldest was eight and his youngest was five when he died . If you are doing it you need to quit .

Another vote for Longhorn natural. By far the best cheap snuff out there. $5 a roll is impossible to beat too.

i had chewed some type of snuff or chewing tobacco since I was 8 yrs. but i can say i quit cold turkey they day my son who was 2 at the time picked up a bottle of my spit and thought it was a pop. Luckily I caught him before he took a drink of it that was 13 yrs ago. But my favorite when I chewed was Lancaster or Redman golden blend.

Started chewing levi garret at 14, graduated to red man, went to dip when I went to college. dipped to my mid 30's. Realized what a complete waste of money and health risk I was takeing. I also had small boys at home. I put it down and never looked back, never missed it. Do yourself a favor sit down one day and figure up the cost for year. Then call a financial advisor and ask questions about investing that money in a mutual fund, you will be surprised at where you can be 15 or 20 years down the road. Dipping and chewing is one of the biggest waist of money there is.

I quit smoking because 2 packs a day at $3.50 got rough. I started chewing and grizzly fine cut natural was $9.00 a roll. Now I don't buy rolls but it's $3.50 a can. A can lasts me 2 days so it isn't quite as rough.

I may try Longhorn and if it is good... you may be sending some North Clyde LOL!!

I don't know what to think of people who use tobacco, cocaine, herion, crack, meth, etc., knowing it causes cancer and other diseases. you must be kidding or fooling yourselves or in denial. You must know that it's the dumbest, craziest thing a person can do.
Well maybe not the dumbest because the dumbest thing is no believing in Jesus Christ and being saved, knowing all along that you're heading for hell for the longest time.

I don't chew, but I raise a little tobacco. mostly for cigars and cigs, but I do put some up in twists and plugs for chewing, mostly as gifts for close friends and family who do.

last year I put up about 200lbs total (dry weight) of burly, Virginia gold, Del gold, and Hopi.

welp

I knew a man who smoked two packs a day, I a non-smoker asked him one day while helping him put up the Christmas lights outside of his house when he's going quit, He stated we are all going to die sooner or later I might as do what I like.
He died 12/24/2014 in a plane crash.
Moral of the story you never know when the big mans going call your name so do what makes you happy.

Ps. I don't smoke or chew ( the women wont let me )

i live near camp lejeune, nc. it's a marine town with many young men, most of whom smoke. i shake my head at all the young people that are now starting to smoke,, even after decades of warnings about how terrible it is. i wonder, can't they yet think for themselves? how can anyone, knowing how bad it is, give tobacco to friends as a gift. what do smokers think when they see older folks wearing that oxegen tube in their nose? that's where all smokers are going. when you go to the hospital, they always ask you if you smoke. if you answer no, they ask you if you've ever smoked, how long ago when did you quit.e this is the last i'm writting about this.

that 200lbs or so cost me less than $10 (I think it was 6 or 7 if I remember right)for seed and about a 50x50 spot in the garden to raise.

I also kept back enough seed from it I could have planted prob 40 acres this year if I had wanted too.

I could never go back to the commercial stuff now, there is that big a difference.
