Stationary would absolutely NOT apply here. It's simple any time you have a rule specifically telling you what to do in a situation that is the rule that applies. In this case we have a rule that specifically tells us what to do with dogs teeing but not declared treed when the judge arrives. Because of that you can't do anything else. Trying to apply the stationary in this case is no different than folks trying to apply "gutting the track'. Can't do it because no matter what happened you have a rule that spells out what to do exactly with a dog teeing but not declared treed when the judge arrives. Can't use any other rule to score that dog.

This is the answer I was looking for. The dog was on the tree when the cast arrived. Handler didn't hear his dog treed or it came in just before the cast arrived. It was a UKC hunt.

It's always good to discuss rules...how else would we all learn them better????

This past weekend I was in a hunt...one guy wanted to know why I didn't call time out the second the tree was closed!!! When I asked, "why would I do that???" I was told, "so we don't burn up any more hunt time than necessary!!!"
Later, one wanted to know, "why the dog that came into a tree AFTER the tree was closed only got minused on track when a coon was seen??" He wanted tree points assigned and those minused too!!!
They wanted circle points on a 3 inch diameter holly tree with a nest in it. The "nest" was like robin sized, all of about 6 inches in diameter...a squirrel couldn't have hid in it.
These guys don't use this forum much....
