To me; If a person is hearing impaired or not physically able to move freely in the woods they should quit competition hunting. If a person is completely able to hunt;but; not wise enough to win then they should lose.

I have no idea what the connection is between you and Bruce; but for some reason you are the one who competition hunts the dog instead of Bruce and for that reason, whatever it may be, you deserve full credit for the win!!!

Congratulations Bruce and Corey

Swamp: TIME can be a big factor. I have my cousin hunt my dog. Why? Because I work 100 hours per week, every week. I can't go and put my dog in the hunts but that doesn't mean the dog should set in the pen and not be hunted either just because I am working.

Not a thing wrong with having someone handle your dog and not a thing wrong with Bruce getting congratulated as well as Corey.

You know it never ceases to amaze me just how stupid jerks people can be in this world. This should have nothing to do with what color dog you hunt or how much money someone has or who handles a dog. If they can win fare and square more power to them. Cory and Bruce I don't know you guys but great job and good luck. Cory you stick with Bruce and learn all you can about the hunts and life. Seems like your off to a great start. Keep up the good work .

Congrats Bruce and Corey,great accomplishment.
It's sad a person has to get on here and try to explain to some one after a great effort has been put out,it's a team effort to pull off what you all did.

The accomplishment here isnt just the win, If all of us older hunters took the time to do what Bruce has done with this young man we wouldnt have to worry so much about the future of our sport.
Props to you both.

Congrats Bruce and Corey

It's normally always a team effort when it comes to a winning these days. I've a firm believer two good dog men are better than one. Again great job. As long as u just got one or two hating on you and 99% congrat u than u must be two good men and have a great dog.

Congrats Bruce and Corey. You accomplished, as a team, what hundreds wish they would've done. Bruce your reply to that person (not gentleman) speaks highly of your character, which has apparently been passed on to Corey. Well handled by both of you and congratulations again.

.

To tell you a little about Corey. He is 21 years old and I met him about three years ago when he called wanting a light. Corey and his friend left their High School Graduation Party to come by and purchase one of those small orange colored box lights. I joked to the wife about two guys that would rather hunt than party. Corey graduated with honors and then continued working with AG students. He worked at a local BBQ place and pleasure hunted some. We hunted maybe once every two months together. Corey then went to school to become an Electrician and was very high in his class About a year ago we started hunting as friends about every night he was not in school. My Grandson John told me that Corey wanted to work for me in the store as they are the same age and Corey felt more comfortable talking to him. I told him that there was no way I would hire Corey and take him away from a good job and future to work for me. Everyone got mad at me and told me to offer Corey a job and let him decide. I did and I told him he would be better not working for me. Trust me I need his help at the store and he is a huge Blessing but I wanted what was best for him. He started working for me and has helped a lot of coonhunters with their equipment problems. We started coonhunting more and the dogs have gotten better also. Trust me Corey is a quality person and has a future in what ever field he chooses.

When you are winning there will always be haters in anything you do. Dont let the jealous ones get to you. It takes a lot of time in the woods to make these dogs competitive and it takes a team to get one ready. Congrats to Bruce and Corey for your accomplishment and keep it up and I'm sure there will be more to come.

Congrats Corey and Bruce. I've never personally met either of you but have talked to Bruce by phone a few times and dealt with Conkeys on several occasions. I've always had the impression Bruce was a good, honest person and to see his posts on Corey proves that even more. To anyone that wants to question that, I think you're gonna find yourself outnumbered and wastin your time!
