I cant believe anyone would hunt dog B but I dont know why I cant I draw him every other weekend. Dog A can be made independent and that will take care of some of the problems with fang pressure on the tree. If he was independent you would be describing a well known stud dog that has won the super stakes, a couple of trucks and loads of cash, and would be a world champ but he will not take fang pressure.

For me it's easily DOG A. DOG B is a chop mouth track dog and like you I can't stand. You also said he barks non-stop from track to tree which is unbearable to me. He also sounds like a light broke ALIGATOR, and for me a mean dog is a dead dog. Yes DOG B has money won, is titled, and very independent but what does all that mean if he's mean, and you can't enjoy hunting him?

DOG A on the other hand, seems like a pleasure to hunt, you can title him in your name, and you may be able to make him more independent. The fang pressure doesn't really bother me, as I don't want my hounds around a mean dog.

He did not describe dog A as a me too type of dog. To me he described the type of dog we all should want to hunt. One that will take its track and trees it, but if it doesn't have something going on it will work with the other dogs to get treed. There is a HUGE difference in a me too dog and one that will work with another dog.

The one thing I didn't like was the leaving a tree. I owned one just like that, but it didn't have to be fang pressure to make him leave if they bumped into him at a tree he would leave.

im still young so i think i would like the challenge of dog b.
I also spend 6 nights a week with my dogs and even some time when the sun is still up so i believe i could get a handle on the wild barking and such. I dont necessarily want an alligator. But i hate a dog that will pull and leave tree!

Couldn't agree more! I know a dirt road where several of these dogs are laying.

ill take both. Dog b would get upgraded to doggy heaven so i wouldnt ever have to worry about hunting against him or him ever being bred and would have fun hunting dog a with all my buddies and there dogs.
