boss flame

I believe the boss flame spotlight is the same as the k-light spotlight.I bought one a while back, rechargeable .The cost was $75.It is no brighter than my old laser pro and not nearly as bright as my sunfire ultra. For me it was a waste of money.

I use the Boss Hotspot 3D on a bump cap. Years ago I used to carry a spotlight and I know they have em now with LED bulbs so they're probably even brighter but I don't feel like I would be able to light up a tree any better with a spotlight than I do with the Hotspot 3D.

Just tried to cancel that spotlight order and it had already shipped. The lady told me that she upgraded me to the extreme spotlight which would normally be $50 more than the flame but they were out of the flame. Anyone ever heard of this spotlight?

.

The boss flame is purchased from mike Kelly and is our name for the light. A month or so ago this light came out in a brighter version. Called the extreme. It and the flame or R&M look identical. The only difference is the extreme is a lot brighter. When you get the light if your not happy with it just call and return it.

If it is noticeably brighter than the cap light I choose then I will likely keep it.

I've compared my Mini with the regular HD, the Boss Hotspot 3D, and the 140,000 LUX Sunfire Spotlight. Honestly I can see very little if any difference in any of them as far as brightness. I was told that once lights get that bright that most people's eyes can't see any difference in them. The Mini is advertised at 70,000 LUX but they test higher than that from what I have been told. I went with the Mini because of the weight difference. I might not be able to see any difference in brightness but I can sure tell the difference in the weight when they are sitting on my head. lol.

We just got the Micro Gators in. These are the lightest cap lights on the market. The micro's are super bright with a wider spot perfect for walking. It also has 2 color LED's (red and green) all weighing in at 10 oz. With the excellent burn time this light is hard to beat.

has anyone ever used this light? I'm mainly curious about this because the website shows it only weighing 10 ounces..

bought one at southeastern and love it ! 4 settings of white led and 2 red . It's like wearing a bump cap basically . Has a wider beam so it's really good for walking , can't go wrong here with his light

The Boss hot spot 3d is a awesome light! Well balanced plenty bright with a green and red led. I'm not sure if its the lightest, but you wear it all night with no issues.

Moonshiner Revenuer HO 22oz. review

Well everyone, the weather has broke and I've been huntin !! Let me give you my honest opinion of the new HIGH OUTPUT Revenuer. So far it has not been needed with leaves off to go past click 2 to shine 80-90 ft. Oaks and have enough light to shine to the top with enough light to see a coon. Bumping up to click 3 is very bright and does make fur stand out a bit better. As for click 4, folks I gotta tell ya it is like no light I have ever seen it is so bright. I can see this being useful when the leaves are on and you need to penetrate between leaf clusters, grape vines, etc. It will eliminate those shadows and dark spots, you will know what your looking at !!! Never did I think I would ever see this kind of brightness out of a cap light. As for the weight and it's distribution, I have had no problems, it is balanced, stays on when you look up at the tree base and is comfortable. The red light, floods out to shine the entire tree to catch eyes. This time of year around here all the half wits and dumb coon are dead, they don't look. So I can't comment much about the red light. It does make a nice walking light. It did catch those thumb tacks deer hunters put out to get to their stands in the dark at good distances.

In closing, I give this light like every other Moonshiner Light we have had a big thumbs up !! For quality of the workmanship and price it is a good value. Donnal backs his stuff very well, he takes pride in his work and it shows. I have been into electronics all my life. Electronically, this is a good build. I am sure that with all the advancements in LED's that bigger, brighter with more bells and whistles will show up on the market before we all know it. Believe me, ya don't need brighter than this. Ya may need a more accurate dog, but that is between you and your hound ...lol... May God Bless you all, according to HIS riches and glory in Grace thru His SON and good hunting...

The mail man just delivered my new Sunfire Mini and I've been doing some comparisons. I am not complaining at all just making observations (I'm sure I'm going to love this light). I have a good set of scales here so I can compare apples to oranges so to speak. The Sunfire does weigh exactly 16 oz as advertised my old East Fork weighs 24 oz. I do not see a noticeable difference in weight on my head what I do see though is if anything my old light is balanced slightly better (not enough to bother me but I do think it's a little better) Bottom line I don't think it matters if you buy a light that's 16 oz or one of these lights that's in the 20+ oz range. Your best bet is go for what you think will shine the tree best and I still believe the Sunfire might be hard to beat in that department I just wouldn't let weight be the governing factor. IMO

Truth

be told, there are MANY great lights out there and some GREAT guys making them. I take my hat off to all of them. I use Moonshiner because Donnal Maggard treats me better than alot of my kin, and has for years. Others can say the same of the folks they deal with. It is up to us to compare quality, workmanship and price and go with it. Good luck to all, enjoy our sport and support these light makers in their support of our needs in the best lights ever developed to assist US the coonhunter !!!!

Believe I will be going with the sunfire mini. Not 100% on that. Gonna keep reading on them for a few more days but it seems this light offers the most while staying very lightweight.

If you get the Mini and don't like it, he has a 30 money back guarantee. But I highly doubt you'll be returning it.

We had one heck of a night 3 drops with 4 coon seen
(2 singles and a double) I took a few pics this one seemed about the best but you can't see the coon and the pic really doesn't do the light justice "I tried" I guess I'm just not much of a photographer. LOL
