camping

Nice flat camping with plug-ins on poles next to river. Bring your catfish poles/bait & we'll have a fish fry. Big flat heads, too!! Take care, Ron.

awesome! sounds like fun to me. I will bring a pole or two if you are serious Ron. how much is an out of state fishing permit for the weekend

catfishin at the reunion

wow that is the best of both worlds right there guys!!!! im the guy ron bought jesse from and ya we have a river lot right across the river from the fair grounds that we will be camping at that week we will have bank lines in by that time weather permitting so bring a pole! we would love to to have some company and we never go hungry!! see my post above: we will have a couple spots on our river lot with electric 300 yds from the hunt site. I also live 5 miles from the hunt so anyone intersted in coming early for some huntin or fishin give me a shout.

Pretty sure it used to be $7/day, but that was 5 yrs ago.

I called the Iowa DNR its $17 for a 3 day permit. i'm bringing my gear they did say that Darren couldn't catch a fish if you put one in a kid sized swimming pool lol hahaha fish fry at our camp!

there are several in ottumwa that is 20 miles from the hunt as well as fairfield which is abou the same distance super 8,americ inn holiday inn stardust motel are some in ottumwa super 8 in fairfield nto sure of pricing or numbers but that is a start if ya need any more help give me a shout be glad to help where i can

At Lake Wapello State Park you can have up to two dogs inside the cabins with you. No pet fee just need to bring proof of vaccinations. The cabin I am renting is only $60 a night for my boyfriend and I and our bluetick. I figured it would be a great idea because we can walk him on the trails to get some of that puppy energy out before the show

On google maps it looks like Lake Wapello is about 28 miles from Eldon for those that are interested in staying there

About 17 miles to Ottumwa and 21 miles to Fairfield
