It is my pleasure to work with you. I was contacted by many people about using their females. I had to really debate what to do since I only have 3 breedings to him. I wanted several things and Kate is one of the females that fit the bill.

I heard many good things about Kate and her mom. Could you put her FULL pedigree up for everyone who is not familiar with her?

I'm sure I missed several names and I did not intentionally leave anyone off the list. These are just some of the of the offspring that came from Durango, Lucky, Queen, Ten, or Ruby. Everyone knows that Durango did not cross well with all females. But, he crossed extremely well with Lucky.He should also cross well with daughters and granddaughters.

I look forward to lining up the other two litters as well. I have one female that has more than proven herself in the Night Hunt world and I want to give her the opportunity in the Reproducing Pen. She is a Gr. Nt. out of Triple X and should carry her dams hunting ability and her grandmother's reproducing ability. She has Lucky on Top and Bottom. She is the ultimate cross for Durango Semen. I will keep you all updated.

Well said Mr. Dave,

20 years ago I studied pedigrees and hunted every night I could. Never once worried about fame or anything else. I just hunted English Coonhounds because I LOVED THEM.

Today.... same philosophy. I am breeding Durango semen to a few select females... NOT FOR FAME OR FORTUNE... BUT because I LOVE ENGLISH HOUNDS AND I LOVE HUNTING A GOOD ONE!

I wish the best of luck to every kennel out there and hope that an English hound wins the World Hunt and World show every year. It doesn't matter to me what kennel they come from as long as an English Wins it. LOL LOL

Hey Chip just saw your post glad to see you back you dont owe us any apologize. I thank it worked out like it was planed from above we got the pleasure to grand SPIKE.We enjoyed spike and loved him and to this day is the best coon dog i ever owned.We sold SPIKE to a good friend Donald Miller and he did the rest.Hope we get to meet again and we both have as good a dog as SPIKE was. We have been hunting and training pretty hard this fall. I can't wait to see what happens when spring gets here. We have 4 real nice hounds to push through the hunts.

Durango's semen possesses a tremendous amount of Junior blood up close. More than any semen on any hound anywhere. The only way you could get more Junior blood was if there was a straw of Junior semen available and it's a common fact that Junior was never collected.

A lot of you reading this that took up the sport after the eighties are probably saying "Who is that Junior dog"? In my opinion, there were three dogs in that era that really left their mark on the English dogs we have today. Three dogs that show up in just about every English dogs pedigree. They are GR NITE CH Boyd's Little Joe, GR NITE CH Hayes Hardtime Speck and GR NITE CH Beshears Blue Boy II (Junior).

I sincerely hope that the cross Chip Wisecup and Greg Shores is going to make is a successful one and that she has a big litter. This old blood will do the English breed proud.

Hello Chip, I just wanted tell you I really enjoyed talking coon dogs with you on the phone. I hope you are avoiding this danged snow storm that is covering us up again here in SE Ohio. It has rained for the last two days to get rid of the last 10 inches and now we are getting 7-10 more by tomorrow night. Come on Spring, it cannot come soon enough, LOL. Mr. Wisecup welcome back and if you are interested I hunt with Donald Miller and he has two NTCH males directly off of Spike now, plus several young dogs that are second generation off of Spike. I handled one of those NTCH's for a while for Donald who was a good day in and day out steady nice hound. He and Dwight Robertson both are both good guys to hunt with and both know a good hound and will tell it like it is when it comes to these English hounds. Give Donald a call if your interested in getting some of that Spike blood back. I also have hunted with Mr. Gibbons' Sandy female from the time she was just starting to year or so before he bought her. She's shown to be a fast accurate coon treer when I hunted with her. I hunted with Dwight's Little Spike male when he was young also so I have seen him do some good work as well. Just PM me if you need to get in touch with Donald and I will send you his number.
