So many people say, "well if I had a stud dog I wouldn't......", but how many would actually turn down the cash based on principals???? Just asking, not pointing fingers at anyone.

I wont do it for any amount of money! Money will make most breed to poodles but not me. How is that bettering anything? Pkc has had these cross dressed dogs forever and show me how that has helped anything? To go backwards and start crossbreeding again would be a slap in the face to those that have paved the way for us to hunt the blue dogs we have. Just how i feel.

Do you seriously think that 50 years ago when they were breeding these "blues" they weren't crossbreeding? You guys always talk about breeding to frozen semen this and that and all your doing is getting closer to the crossbreeds.

Heck yea I will at least now we know up front that they will be cross breeds where as years ago they were doing it and trying to play them off as pure.Like it or not cross breeds have always worked and will today and at least now they can be legitimately registered.

x-breeding

I don't see what the fuss is or why folks will bring up that it has been going on forever!!! It has also been allowed forever with single registration right?? only difference now is you can look at some papers showing you what dogs are behind them?

I agree 100% Tom cross breeding has been goin on forever, just lied about. Single registered or just registered as English. I like to know just what I got, no matter where it comes from.

Not saying I'm completely sold on the whole crossbreed thing...... Just sayin if their my dogs, I'm gonna breed how I want.

After carefully reading this post and considering the possible repercussions.I decided to ask my stud dog.And he replied "good or bad he still likes to practice "so long as they don't charge him! So there you have it boys, strait from the old dogs mouth.

What was this guy's name ?

I

belong to two breed associations, both with Bluetick in the names. So only Blueticks it will always be for me. I would say no, I have said no to untrained / partially trained well bred Blue females.. If I wouldn't want a pup from em I won't breed em. High standards will make our dogs better not much else.

I'd much rather breed to a real good female of another breed than a sorry one that is PR blue.
Gauge likes em all long as their ready!!!!

i respect trying to make better hounds.
i respect trying to better a breed. whatever breed that may be.
i have also never felt like i know better than the man that owns the hound if it should be bred or who it should be breed to.
