My only question is WHY. My girls have always enjoyed the way the youth hunt was set up. If they wanted to hunt in the hunt we spent the spring and summer trying to get qualified and had a great time doing this. I feel this could also hurt the attendance at the state youth hunts.
Maybe I'm missing something , but why change a good thing?

Not to mention what its gonna do to the state youth hunts. There numbers will go down to nothing cause you don't need to go to get qualified. Them clubs put a lot of hard work getting prizes and guides for them kids. And will now hurt the youth hunts. Also try finding all the guides and judges u need for the nationals if the entry's hit 300 dogs. ???? Maybe might be a problem.

I would really like to hear what UKC thinks about this poll and the thoughts that have been expressed here. If there is any chance this poll is taken into consideration it's obvious what the people think

It will also have an effect on the guide and judge situation also. I know this year they had a few guides dip out on them on Saturday. I'm not opposed to guiding and judging but if its a free for all at nationals maybe throw the guide/judge a few bucks for fuel it would help get guides/judges.
