You just show up at the hunt, take your pick who you want to spectate with. Ask the owner of the dog if they care if you spectate. I have done it several times and was always welcomed to go along. It's a stress free good time.

Don, it helps your odds a lot if you pick 4 that are actually going to be there.

I saw on the front page where it took 500+ to win 10th place registered at English Days last night. Will we see those kind of scores at Redbone Days next weekend?

Could take a good score

It might take 500+ to get in the top 3 to 5. Depends on the night. I would not be surprised if it takes 850+ to get in the top 3. Then again 450+ could get you a first one night. You never know.

Why is

It that the winningest dogs in the country don't even care to show up at the red hunts?

They will only let me hunt one dog. I have to leave the others at home......

Oh my goodness, just look at those scores from English Days this weekend! I hope that we can tree that many coons next weekend at ARD.

old men

It seems to me the old boys have been winning a bunch this year. I'm betting on the winner coming from a senior cast.

Oh my goodness! Rob, I think that you jinxed Danny. The Wonder Dog did a great job but his handler laid down on him Sat night. The pressure got to him and he made a big rookie mistake. I could not believe that the 1985 handler of the year with all of that experience did what he did. As soon as he said "Tree Gus", my mouth dropped open and I asked him, "What in the world are you doing?" Danny had the Overall Championship in the bag with 5 minutes left to hunt and he gave it away. Gus The Wonder Dog should have come back and bit him when it was over.

As predicted, a Nt Ch win sure was hard to come by. No one picked Doug and Woody or Mr Thomas and Flush to win. The Overall and Opposite Sex Championsip battles were very close and hard fought. There were several dogs that had a chance to win.

One thing for sure predictions are tough. But,if old Woody is in my cast again I will sure be nervous. He put a coon treeing clinic on Thursday night. I will sure consider him as one of my silent picks from now on

Doug Moore

Everyone had better always figure on Doug handling a dog that can win. Didn't he win ARD a few years back with a kissing cousin of Woody.
Richard ,I picked a senior cast winner. I think Doug is old enough.lol

Lets not dwell on my screw up I have beat myself up enough. Doug and Woody are the focus here. They are very deserving. We both got our picture made. Lambert failed to get his made this time.
