I say we should all just rent a bus and ride out to Cali and pick some of Duckassasin"s shrooms. He got em bigger than his hand and doesn't eat em. That's just "morel-y wrong" LOL

That anit my pic Bud, I was repling to that post. I've never seen this around in the valley maybe if i go up to the mountains. Are these the mushrooms that get you all goofy and takes you on trips???? LOL

LOL Yah I realized after I posted that you were quoting that pic.
No those aren't magic mushrooms they're morels and they are very good. Allot of people like to beer batter them but I like to just slice them in half, roll them in a little flour to keep them from sticking and brown them in a skillet.

That's how I do mine too,,and Duck,,if you tried them,,,I'm sure you would love them,,just talking about them has me drooling,,lol,,and no they ain't the magic ones,,but around here,IF you can find a store that sells them during season,,they will cost you just as much as the magic ones,,,lol

Hmmm i may be going back to the mountains in april to check on my deer stand may have to look for some.....But being that california SUCKS and everything good or cool isnt here or allowed here these shrooms prob anit here and if they are i bet you couldnt even pick them cuz there is prob some bleeding heart law saying "you cant disrupt nature" BS
