Bear treed in Va

Buddy is the big bawl mouth bluetick.

I don't know why photobucket won't work half the time but if you click on the box it should take you to the video.

Pups for sale

I am selling the green collar pup (female) and red collar pup (male) now. 9 is getting to be too much to work with and feed and vet. Their papers have been sent out and I should get them soon. They have had 2/4 of their puppy shots. I have the 3rd here and if you pick it up before its due I will send it with you. They are fully dewormed, outgoing, energetic pups. They will make someone great dogs, nothing wrong with these two selling based solely on looks. I prefer the darker ones. $300 picked up. Thanks for looking. I have some better pictures I can send you. Message me or comment on here I do not have great cell service at home.

All pups have been sold or spoken for at this time. Thanks to all who bought a pup and please keep me updated. My next cross will be in 1-2 years so I can work with pups from this litter.

Picks of the litter

I received a video from Ken in NJ who bought one of the pups and named him RJ. RJ is not quite 4 months old and barking at caged coon already. You can check out the video on my facebook page Dove's Blues Singin' Hounds:

https://www.facebook.com/bluessinginblueticks

Here are my 3 picks of the litter.
Dove's Blues Singin' Banjo

Dove's Blues Singin' Briggsley

Dove's Blues Singin' Oakley

Banjo and got to see his first coon on the ground a couple nights ago with his mom.

Picks of the litter!

Really, really nice looking pups. They're bound to make good ones. I know you're proud of them. Anyone would be proud to own three pups like them. Good luck with them

purgatoryblues

Thank you for the compliments. If they are anything like either parent they will be good dogs but I expect them to surpass that. It has been too cold here to catch any coons for them to bark at. I'll try again when it warms up some. Hope you are doing well and staying warm. I acquired Gemma's full sister. She has not been worked with much but I will train her with these pups. She sure is a gorgeous all blue. I will try to get some pics.

Sorry I don't have any pups left. I probably won't be breeding him again for at least a year. I do have an all blue female I will cross on him then.

Btt

Getting back good reports on the pups. Several are tracking and treeing hides already. One has been running with other dogs some on bear chases. One I have here will chase the barn cats and has a really nice mouth and opens on track. Plan on taking them out tonight with their mother again. If you would like to get on the list for the Gemma X Buddy cross let me know I have had a few interested. Likely this cross will not happen for minimum of 6 months should have some all blues in that litter.

Pup training

Did some pup training this weekend.

Gemma and Kimber (my girlfriend's leopard hound) treed this coon on Friday night. Took the pups along to get some woods time and exposure.

Pup for sale

The pup in the box on the left side is now available for sale. I was starting her for someone who decided they couldn't take on another dog right now. She is 8 months old and she has ran a bear about 500 yds last time she was out. She will bark at a live coon some and she has been worked with on a drag and is getting better at finding it but she still needs work. She has a nice loud mouth. At this point I would call her very lightly started. I have been taking her in the woods every weekend but with work I don't get to work with her much more than that. She acts good and isn't shy at all. The last few times she's been out she has gone out farther about 100 yds or so and she will smell around. She needs worked alone or with an older dog or she wants to play with the other pups. Message me if interested and we will talk price. Thanks. I will try and get a better pic on here but she is lighter than the other pups, very ticked up, muscled and fast on the smaller side 45-50 pounds but still growing

Upcoming Litter Waitlist

My all blue gyp Gemma is in heat now. I will be breeding her next cycle which should be in May/June. Puppies expected July/August and will be good age to start putting in the woods in season. I want these pups in good hands of people who will hunt them hard. Gemma was a natural on bear and started running her own a little over a year old. She and Buddy both have a classic bawl mouth and hard tree style. These should be awesome bear pups both parents can start a cold track and finish it to the tree, but they can also get the job done on coon. Doubled up on Smokey River and McKinney lines. Message me to get on the waitlist I have several names already and will be keeping at least one of these for myself. Pups will be sold at 6-8 weeks old. I can help get transport worked out. Buddy's last litter has been doing well. I have a 10 month old female here that is running and working her own track now. Another female that is making bear races consistently, several other pups treeing cage coon.

----Rivers Edge Blue Babe
------Wiles Sassy Blue

------Grntch Ch McKinney's All Blue Sparky

------Ch Grntch Anderson Blue Jake
----Estep's Jenny
------River Edge Puddin

------Ch Grntch McKinney's All Blue Velvet
--Estep's All Blue Meg
------Grntch Levi's Northern Blue Magic (Jet V bred)
----Ntch Wilder's Big Time Kicker
------Gardins Wild Blue Sarah

I entered Gemma in her first nite hunt last Friday and she did a nice job. Too many leaves on the trees yet so we had a lot of circle trees but we would have won our cast if they weren't all circles. Buddy has one HTX pass, his first htx and first pass I plan to get his HTX title before the breeding. Buddy will be entered in some nite hunts too. Buddy's sister was a Grntch and he came out of a really nice cross. I believe he and his sister Estep Jenny are the only surviving dogs of this cross but I could be wrong. Gemma's grandmother is Estep Jenny. This is a cross that should produce some excellent hounds. Both dogs are bawl mouth, hard treeing, cold nosed dogs. They will drop hunt, road hunt, and rig. Gemma has an excellent handle. They are also exceptionally fast on a track for cold nosed dogs. Pups will be good for any hunter: pleasure, competition or big game.

Pics and updates

Buddy received his HTX certificate. He needed 3 passes on 3 separate nights and did so with the minimal 3 nights.

Banjo is my pup off Hallie and Buddy. He has been treeing his own coon now since 10 months. He is making a nice hound. He has not bumped any trash and has ample opportunity to run deer, armadillos, and coyotes. 2 females from this litter are making great bear dogs. Two other males are also treeing coon on their own. There are a few pups I have not heard from recently. If all goes well with Banjo I plan on campaigning him in some hunts soon. I also now have one of his brothers back here. He has been hunted 4 times and is going out and opening on tracks and hunting hard. The males are big, bawl mouth hounds. The females from this litter were mostly smaller, fast hounds. All I have heard from have had good tracking ability and seem to have cold noses.

Gemma should throw pups with the same characteristics and added tree power as well as natural ability. She is my best bear dog currently but is no slouch as a coondog either. She is a first strike first tree dog in most cases. I would like to get some of these pups in the hands of hard hunters and some competition hunters. Contact me for more info. I am more than willing to show in the woods. Currently located in Mississippi.

I have a 16 month old male available to the right home out of Hallie and Buddy. Video of him on my Facebook page treeing a coon. He has done it solo needs singled out and hunted hard and I can't do that with 2 of them. He has nice conformation and would make a good dual prospect dog if someone is looking for that. Message for more info.
