Boys , right here is your answer , I'll just add you can only have control of one cast ,not the others . Win or lose always shake their hands at the end ,, and remember there will be another night and another cast .

And get it in your head sooner than later that competition hunting is a game.....it is not a sport. If you approach it as a game, then you'll be fine.

Before you even go to a nite hunt realize that there is only going to be 1 winner in each cast. That give you a 25% chance of winning which is not the greatest odds. Also realize that the best dog does not win every time as there are circumstances you have no control over.
Know the rules if you want to play, don't complain all night, give and take the razzing that goes on, and remember it is mostly all in fun, and most of all have a good time. When the hunt is over shake hands, don't go back to the club badmouthing the guy that beat you, win like a man, loose like a man cause there is always next time. You will make a lot more friends and have a ton of fun.
If you take is seriously you are going to be in for a long night.

I judge most of the casts Im on around this area and I completely agree that a judge can set the tone of the cast. There wont be any arguing on my casts but we can talk like grown men and come to a decision. Ive had very few complaints in my casts. Ive never been cheated but I have been outhandled several times but I learn every time they outhandle me.
