"Anawer my question how do U think the little coon is going to get to the events einstine."

I and a few others that have responded here have already discussed this with Commissioner Williams
You can do that research on your own

Which I highly doubt you will complete as a member of The Georgia Federation of Coonhunters Board Of Directors you claimed not to know about The Georgia Hunting and Fishing Federation

But a member of the board you should have known the GFC President served on the board of the GHFF as the coonhunting representative

That was until the current President rarely attended meetings and never seem to be involved and was REPLACED

OK DAWG

I'M going to take your advice and stay off the board about this post. ......... BUT you have on idea why or anything about my reason for serving on the board of directors, been coon hunting before U was even a dream and want to keep on doing the same I for one do not believe some people are looking down the road far enough on this bill. If you are anyone else thinks the anti hunting issue is going away think again, keep posting and showing a coon in a cage and a bunch of dogs harassing it and dead coons stacked on the tailgate and one stretched by two dogs and see how long U are going to be able to continue doing what we enjoy now. I thought U knew me better than your last sentence in U last post but evidentely not.
My only question is this DAWG if U don't belong to either orginization how do people in GA know where U stand.
In closing I want to answer U statement this way "THAT ALL FOLKS." you winn........ BUT I DO HAVE YOUR BEST INTEREST IN MY HEART and as long as I am a board member I will continue to do so. BY.BY.

Mr. H. L., I do respect your thoughts and opinion as well as many other do. Lord knows, you've forgot more about these hounds than most of us will ever know. However, I am not a member of the federation by choice. I quit supporting them and their hunts the year the current officials overthrew the previous leadership. I do not agree with their views, them changing by laws (they had to be changed b/c they're not being followed), and most of all...I do not want to be represented or spoken for by the federation. Groups, clubs, and memberships are for people with the same common goal. I do not personally believe that the current leadership shares my same common goals for the future of coonhunting especially within my state. I do not believe the federation should be ran by someone that cannot even run events at their own house without falsifying documents for personal gain. And whether he represented the federation or not in his actions, it reflects poorly on the federation and its cause yet nothing was done and it's the elephant in the room that nobody wants to discuss accountability. As a board member, you should be able to have a loud voice in the federation, but it is indeed muffled with no fault of your own. We can all have different opinions on this without a argument which further weakens us, but not doing anything will not get us anywhere in preserving our heritage as the anti's continue to fight.

Coon in cage would be nice, but the attention we are getting will be bad in the long run.
North Georgia really got shafted by this same movement/bill a couple years ago when GHFF supported trapping and increased bag limit in north ga. This was the cookie that was offered and several clubs didnt think it was a good trade. Mr Dickey quit asking my opinion after I disagreed.

As far as the GHFF not contacting or asking the GFCH for permission or discussion...They recieved the answer from you and the wishes of roughly 20 members voted in a organization of roughly 70 members, but their membership is roughly 7,000 members (which is a little better representation of Georgia hunters I believe). Not quite sure how the chairman of the board and elected officials are supposed to act as 2 independent governing bodies as a checks and balance system, yet the president is also chairman of the board...but that's another issue all together. Those guys support us coonhunters. The waycross hunting expo has a coon hunt and bench show all ran by the GHFF.

I am happy as a coonhunter that these people are fighting for me. Not only to maintain my hunting rights, but to try to expand on them. Don't plan on the anti's to send you a email either when they try to push a bill through. As the president and as a organization, these should be issues that are kept up with. Unless all you care about is putting on a state hunt, then your oppinion really doesn't matter anyways since a majority of your membership only comes from that one event since they can't be crowned state champion without being a member.

Just my opinion. Everybody has one, but I think the GHFF has a well written bill that they have my support on. The fight about the anti's is NOT going to end whether you sit in the corner cowardly or try to expand your rights/laws. I refuse to sit in silence and hope they don't realize I'm here.

Today was the last day it could have been passed and it was essentially washed under the tables without getting brought to a vote. (to the best of my knowledge)

Here's my thoughts:
The Atlanta anti's picked up this bill and had tens of thousands of people from all over the world calling in. Think about that....

There needs to be more communication within our own state as all hunting groups can relate, without one federation pointing fingers at another when you're essentially wanting the same common goal.

Guys....support your local dog, deer, hog, bear, coon, fox, coyote, squirrel, rabbit, turkey, falconer, alligator, mouse, chicken, cow, mule, and horse clubs because they can all be vulnerable if that's the way the arrow points on that day. I attended a gathering in blackshear, Ga that had over 5000 people when fox pens and deer dogs were under the gun... we better hope that kind of support is for us few coon hunters if we're going to stay alive period.
