Drive to Virginia and spend the night with Buck, Pastor Mike or Jason Wed night and then go on to Cedar Grove Thursday. Or drive to Crazy James's in Indiana on Wed evening and hunt with King and Toadie and then spend the night. Then James and King could ride with you down to Cedar Grove on Thursday. James is looking for someone to ride with anyway. I should start a Tour Guide Service.

Only one more week now. If Andy Guilliams doesn't quit posting those pictures of Chick on the Va Cartel thread he will be the only Gr Nt there. I have talked to 2 different people who have suddenly come up with reasons why they can't bring their Gr Nt Ch. I guess that I should post some pictures of Wilma on her bench. Maybe I could "scare" Mr Young into staying home.

There is less than a week to go now. The weatherman says that the weather will be good, highs of 45-55 and lows of 28-35 with no snow or storms. The coons should be moving. Is Gr Nt Case XX going to be there? I heard that he won his cast at the Winter Classic this year and he did good at Southern Days last year.

I'll be staying home this year, haven't had much of a chance to hunt much . Just been tooooo cold. Hope the weather is good for everyone .Think I'll be doing some ice fishing and having a good old fish fry. Nothing like perch and crappie fillets fresh from the ice.

The latest weather forecast for Cedar Grove is: Thursday sunny 48, Thursday nite 31, Friday sunny 51, Friday nite 32, Saturday 53 with a few scattered showers, Saturday nite 28, Sunday 48. Now that sounds like some awfully nice winter time coon hunting weather.
Does anyone have any predictions on who some of the the big winners are going to be?
Who will win First Place Gr Nt Champion on Fri and Sat nites, Chick, Big Jim, Train, Toby, Shock, Case XX or someone else?

Only 2 more days now, no big predictions????????? I wonder if we will be able to hunt Wednesday night? I guess that we will just have to wait and see. I sure hope that I can turn my little puppy loose with Gus The Wonder Dog. Gus made my dog look pretty bad on Wed night last year. I have a new dog now and I want a rematch.

Looks like a fine lineup of hounds should be an all out battle. It could be anybody's game or who gets the lucky draw with a good guide and plenty of coon.

I remember several years back when Rex, Danny and I went to Southern Redbone Days. This was before the Virginia Cartel was formed. Timmy took us hunting on Wed night and it started snowing like crazy but we still treed a couple of coons. When we got up Thursday morning the snow was all gone and the weather was great the rest of the weekend. I think that was the year that Rex won Overall Opposite Sex with Gr Nt Pigeon River Reddy Freddy. I got my oil changed yesterday and went to the bank so I am ready to go tomorrow morning.

Yep that did her , you know how us show folks hate to lose .

I set at a dead stop for over an hour in Charleston last year on the way home while they sprinkled salt on those icy over passes .
This year it just seems the weather man changes his tune after it's to late to change my mind . Maybe I am getting wiser as I get older , it never used to slow me down much .
