he had one found before the garmin was strapped tight!. and even though the ol' walker female has had more joggin this spring he rolled that track out ahead of her and had big momma sow coon stopped in a hurry! a little walk uphill toward the hardwoods ,and they were unsnapped and they zipped right past 3 bedded deer. minute or 2 and old blue and his yappy mouthed huntin partner are located and choppin hard! talk about quittin but decide to make one last try(usually bad decision)( but with this pair WE'VE BEEN VERY LUCKY!!!) turn 'em. few minutes and a couple guys that are hangin onto trees so as not to tip off'n their feet(NOT DRUNK, ITS W-I-N-D-Y!) can hear a walker treed behind them and big blue male treed in deep. Hers is in a den and a quick look after stumbling to griz shows 2 coon on a skinny tree and they're still getting comfy . 2 GOOD FRIENDS HEAD FOR HOME! oh! and yes the deer were still bedded as we walked out!!! the big dog and the hound totin' it are well worth a try when your blue fem. comes in heat!

Thanks Tully-I'm hopefull Grizz will pass along his traits-these should be some exceptionally good pups.

Ron my friend-I appreciate the kind words about Grizz. You and I have had some amazing hunts and I look forward to every night we get together and go for a few drops. It's funny how you look at days gone by as if they were yesterday. You yourself have had the opportunity to follow behind some exceptional hounds over the years. Grizz is one of those hounds that flat out can tree a coon in a hurry and doesn't need any help.

Thanks everyone-he has looked good for the limited times he's been out this spring. Just need some more nights to completely regain his conditioning.

Scott- Hopefully you will get your Creek female qualified. Do you plan to hunt her at the reunion?

Tully I wish you the best of getting his half brother qualified too. Hopefully there will be a few out of the blood lines that qualify.

Ron- Thanks- Thinking maybe mounting a GO-PRO to his collar-we could find out! Lol I don't think he walks on water but he definately is a special hound. Last night confirmed his independence and ability to split hold the pressure and have the coon.
