With the Alpha you can wear the collar but handheld has to be off and left at the truck.

I was just stating what could happen if they changed the policy.

I personally think many of you are worrying unnecessarily. We do not have a new policy in place. Sure, we've talked about it, but nothing is set. We want to make 100% sure we come up with the fairest solution for all people involved. We've held test hunts and had discussions with several hunters over the past month. We aren't going to rush in to something, we are going to do our research as best as possible. We're still doing research and making sure we put in the time and effort to make a good policy.

I can show you letters to the editor of Coonhound Bloodlines back when other major changes were made in the competition hunts. When UKC went from a 3 to a 2 hour hunt, it was going to ruin competition hunts. When we went from non hunting to hunting judges, it was going to ruin competition hunts. Guess what? Both the 3 hour hunt and having all non hunting judges is still an option for clubs but no one uses them and they didn't ruin competition hunts. They changed them, sure, but didn't ruin them.

If you have any constructive thoughts about this topic, please email them to me. We'd sure like to hear from as many active UKC hunters as possible.

This is crazy, It don't matter if you have them in Truck or on you. If the handheld is off, They shouldn't be any worry's. Its the same as 220 or 320. Don't see the big deal with it. You can not beep a dog or shock one unless handheld is on.

So? Its unfair to me that you are more up to date than I am? I guess I'd just have to suck it up and deal with it lol

I like the no tracking systems idea... I personally dont have one at this point in time so it'd help me out lol

Well you can break one without a tone button to come to you trust me. You don't have one on your dog and i do.? Is it fair to me because you don't on one? Hey there a punishment in breaking the rule enforce the rules and go from there.

That's true my dog is broke to come when I call him... That's kinda like a tone button, but doesny have the range a shock system (or alpha) would... Maybe we should stop letting the cheaters slide? If your caught shocking/toning your dog your barred for _____ amount of time?
