1 final post, then I put both this and ukc to bed forever.

heat (then named jigs) was given to Dwayne Edmondson as a weanling pup, in exchange for a months training fee on another dog, by jim cannon.

Dwayne sold the pup soon after, as he was in constant trouble with the rich hill city gov over the dogs INCESENT BARKING (think 24/7). the price was $75 and jd Nichols owned the dog from then until just a few months before the world hunt "heat" won.

jim had lost the dogs sire, joe boy, and couldn't talk anyone else into selling there male out of joe boy/queen cross to replace him. he gave jd $1100 for him.

for 6yrs Dwayne trained and handled the dog, even though he no longer owned him....(though the dog had to stay at jd's).....why???? because jd was a wimp who knew he was out dogged..........and heat was known for being found 5s and 10s of miles from where he was cast.

Dwayne had not long before the sale told jd he would no longer handle or hunt the dog, and that fact more than any led to the sale imo. (he had a young male out of meg he wanted to focus on)

when he was right, the dog was accualy not a BAD hound..........though the nights of coyotes and deer chases FAR outnumbered the good nights. a fact even one of the countrys TOP trainers (Dwayne) could never fix............and tritronics couldn't either lol.

the fact remains though, jigs/aka heat, "won" the world hunt because of ............"strong support" at the TOP levels of ukc at the time. FACT. check out other plot/wldch titles at other kc's this guy was involved with and the evidence tells its own story.

I hunted with Dwayne EVERY NIGHT for almost 2yrs. anyone who knows either of us, knows that EVERY NIGHT means 360+ nights a year too . imo he never recovered from the fact that heat aka jigs got the best of him, and he could never "fix" the dog like all the others he worked on.

personaly, I would have shot the dog LONG before Dwayne finaly gave up.
