The number of residents in W.V. on Welfare total 42,728 people. I'm sure those people aren't factored in on unemployment levels. And, I'm sure when oblamo succeeds in Shutting Down the Coal Industries and All the Plants and Places that make a Go of it because of The Mining Industries, that number will skyrocket, along with every ones ELECTRIC BILLS!!!!!

here is some proof

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news...years/?page=all

"Federal welfare spending has grown by 32 percent over the past four years,"

"In Tuesday’s debate, Mr. Romney blasted Mr. Obama for overseeing a 50 percent increase in the number of people on food stamps, which has risen from 32 million to 47 million."

http://articles.baltimoresun.com/20...ion-entitlement

Since President Obama's 2009 inauguration, 5.9 million people have been added to SSDI, a 23 percent increase over the last five years (compare that to 2.5 million new jobs created during the same time period);

•SSDI rolls have swollen to almost 11 million recipients (translation: 1 in 14 U.S. workers);

You didn't and that's my fault but you didn't specify anything other than encouragement so....still waiting on that encouragement proof other than your opinion. Thought was saying there's a speech where "obama or the lackeys" encouraged someone to get on welfare. Just more numbers or stats,huh!

Maybe I'm mistaken but the TV ads said to get on food stamps ( now just a debit card). Isn't food stamps part of welfare? I always thought it was.

Here in Minnesota they were on all local stations for months. Showed 2 older ladies talking how easy it was to apply and receive food stamps. I'm not kidding.

"The department is spending between $2.5 million and $3 million on paid spots, and free public service announcements are also airing. The campaign can be heard in California, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, and the New York metro area."

they even want illegals to get it

http://www.judicialwatch.org/press-...illegal-aliens/

"The promotion of the food stamp program, now known as “SNAP” (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), includes a Spanish-language flyer provided to the Mexican Embassy by the USDA with a statement advising Mexicans in the U.S. that they do not need to declare their immigration status in order to receive financial assistance. Emphasized in bold and underlined, the statement reads, “You need not divulge information regarding your immigration status in seeking this benefit for your children.”

The bottom line is

The government is leading us into 2 groups. The very wealthy and the very poor. I know that I'm heading into the second group. The cost of living is rising so fast that working is getting us no further ahead than not working. If you put a pencil to it, I bet that people getting all of the subsidies have more cash flow than us that work. By the time I pay for my groceries, healthcare, loans and utilities I don't have much left. What about you?

track, Your reference to my working shames me. As I thought you remembered everything about me. I retired in 2005. Thus the clue to brushrunretiree!!! I had a Very Wise Eldery Gentleman tell me when I was at a tender age that one of these days you'll be old. I put money into annuity retirement accounts at a very young age. Then I retired from PPG Ind. in 2005. Now, through the years my accounts aren't what they used to be, but my wife and I live comfortable and can do whatever we want, whenever we want to.

Bob, TANF and SNAP are two separate things. When you see someone using an EBT card they may or may not be on TANF- welfare. And someone on TANF [welfare] may or may not be on food stamps [SNAP or EBT card].

TANF has a 5 year limit here in MN- so you can only be on "welfare" for 5 years out of your entire life. I do not believe that SNAP has a time limit like that.

TANF- temporary assistance for needy families
SNAP- supplemental nutrition assistance program
EBT-electronic benefit transfer card

I really don't care what you call them. To me they are all welfare. I was in line at the store in town when a woman in front of me paid for groceries with a credit card, she had a carton of cigarettes and the clerk said "you can't pay for cigs. with the card." She pulled some $20 out of her purse and paid for the cigs. When I was young and raising a family we went without a lot of things. If you can afford cigs. YOU CAN BUY YOUR OWN FOOD. For people that need help I have no problem, but there are too many people use assistance that really don't need it. 5 years of welfare and then on to SSI.

This one worked. And to add about Rural W.V. Most people around here worked in The Mines or In The Timber Industry. Two Son-in-laws Get Their Living From Timber Cutting. The Oldest has a Timber Cutting Business Plus A Trucking Business. The Second one Has A Timber Cutting Business And A Excavating/Dump Truck Business. The Third One Is A Manager For Ace Home Center. The First Two Work Very Long Hours. When Something Is Broke, They Work At It Till It's Fixed, Because Somebody Is Wanting A Pay Check. They All Take VERY GOOD Care Of Our Daughters. We Are VERY BLESSED With Six Grandchildren!!!!

A drop in the bucket compared to what will be spent pushing obamacare for enrollment.

Wait till the bottom drops in stocks (Buffet and other billionaires are dumping stocks already). The dollar devalues which makes prices skyrocket. There will be a lot of hungry people...best get to growing your food.

Al you mentioned are tactics to keep THE LIBERAL MACHINE IN POWER!!! I believe oblamo will try to get us so far in debt, that our money will be worthless, then he'll get backing for a worldwide money, then THE UNITED NATIONS WILL VOTE FOR A LEADER, WHICH HE'LL RUN FOR!! I think that's his goal, Control the WORLD!!
